Many dog owners express frustration when their dog returns from obedience school and remains less than obedient. While obedience school trainers may be able to teach your dog simple commands like "sit", "roll over", and "come," proper, thorough training is best done at home with the owner. Each dog is unique and has its own set of temperament issues and learning curve.
With in-home dog training, trainers can really get to know your dog and his environment. There are often particular issues - like chasing the mailman, or barking at the neighbor's cat - that wouldn't be observed in an out-of-home setting. Bringing a professional dog trainer allows the trainer to address your dog's particular issues, creating a personalized and successful training experience.
While our professional dog trainers will be taking the lead, you, and any other family members that interact with your dog, will be a part of the training process as well. In home dog training empowers you as the owner and helps you build a positive relationship with your dog. Trainers can teach you training tricks that uniquely address your dog's personality.
In-home dog trainers can address a variety of issues, such as:
- Leash pulling
- Ignoring commands
- Excessive barking
- Jumping on people
- Destructive behaviors
Benefits of Hiring an In Home Dog Trainer
Searching for a professional dog trainer can be stressful. At Dog Training Elite, we understand that you want the best for your best friend and our goal is to ensure all training experiences are positive for you and your furry friend. We never use shock collars or punishments; our training method focuses on positive reinforcement, which has proven success. We combine this positive reinforcement with an electronic collar for optimal results. The electronic collar is not a shock collar, nor does it cause pain - it is used to get your dog's attention, like the tug of a leash.
In addition to basic obedience issues, our trainers are experienced in service dog training, therapy dog training, and any other specialized training your pup may need. If you are looking for in home dog trainers, then look no further than Dog Training Elite. Give us a call today to schedule your first in-home consultation.
Our Balanced Theory
We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. In its simplest form (after proper conditioning), when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking about it. Our unique techniques ensure our program is a success no matter what behavior we encounter.
Empowering OwnersWe empower owners to train so their dog knows who to obey at all times.
PersonalizedWe deal with problem behaviors on a personal basis.
Environment SpecificWe train wherever issues tend to arise (i.e. jogging, park, home).
SupportiveWe support owners in the off-hours (when training is "not in session").
InvolvedWe work with all members of the household.
Simplified & CustomizedWe plan training around the owner's schedule and require only 15 min/day follow-up practice.
Continued TrainingAdditional programs / group sessions offered after in-home training.
Lifetime InvestmentWe follow up & are invested in the owner's success long-term.
Satisfaction RatingsOur high client satisfaction rating sets us apart from competitors.
