Protection Dog Training

I cannot say enough good things about our experience just that I wish I did this sooner! I truly thought my dog was untrainable, I was scared to let him outside in our fenced in yard because he’d charge the fence and don’t get me started on walking him. We got to the point where only my husband could walk him. After training all of that has changed! I feel like I know how to control my dog in the yard and on the leash. And I can tell my dog is way more relaxed! Like he knows I’ve got it under control for the first time. We worked hard with our dog because we needed him to be successful! We have a baby and live by an elementary school and it was worth it!! The time, energy and resources are worth it for you and your dog!

I own a mental health practice in Louisville. My team and I decided to train a therapy dog. I had no idea how much time and attention would be needed. We are about 4 months into her training and it is going well. She is only 7 months old so she still has some puppy energy. Tom has been super patient with me. Anyone can tell you that I am not coordinated at all. Trying to walk, use the training clicker while not tripping over my dog is challenging for me. I have gotten frustrated with myself more than once. We just started group classes and I was so impressed with my girl! We have finally gotten to a place where I feel more confident. Having the support of Tom and Dog Training Elite, has made all the difference. Time and patience are imperative. Thank you Tom!

I am so grateful for Kevin, Andrea, and Jimmy! They were so patient as we navigated training two dogs. My pitbull has skin issues so they worked with me on making sure the collar we used didn’t affect his skin. They were all so encouraging and gave my pups so much love. It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to continue the training with the pack walks.

Andrea spoke with me for an hour or so about where to start in looking for a puppy as my service dog. We got to work training and it just seemed like such an easy process, even with all the hard work! We had the tools, knowledge, and support to get where we are today!

Brad was a pleasure to work with and very patient with our stubborn beagle. Our beagle had food aggression issues. Brad help us understand the reason for the behavior and how to best deal with it.

Tom is very knowledgeable and patient, the training methods he uses really do work and it shows! Especially in group class where I can see the progress my dog has made and challenge my dog in new ways!

Really happy with Dog Training Elite Northeast Ohio I am disabled and suffer from PTSD my doctor referred me to get a companion and or Service Dog My son purchased this beautiful German Shepard not only for Emotional Support, but for Protection as well. We love that we can count on Élite for training Baby Girl we see the changes in her every day. We love that it is a life time program if we should need it and the extra touch is the get togethers at the park with other dogs and their owners. We also love the Crew and the Owners they really take pride working with the dogs everyday, you can see the results at the end of the day when its time to teach the owners LOL

Marley is a 7 year old cavachon. Happy dog. But a gleeful barker at dogs and people. A leash puller!! Still happy as can be. Walks like a champ. Even ignores those chatty squirrels and swarms of deer. Marley is becoming a trained PSA. And we owe it to Kevin, Andrea and Elite.

The platinum dog training program set the foundation for success for our 1yr. Old Bully. He was reactive towards people and animals, making walks and community outings difficult. Kevin and Andrea, take the time to understand your needs. One-on-one sessions offer a better understanding of dog behavior and proper technique. I especially enjoyed the Doggie Day camps. Unlike board and train programs, our boy spent the day training and playing with new friends. Then, he was allowed to come home at the end of the day, where we completed our homework(Practice)! Brad has been training our dog to be a therapy dog for our school. He assessed the puppies in our dog’s litter when they were 49 days old and chose our pup for his temperament, explaining how he was chosen. The very next week, Brad began working with our puppy, Cosmo, and me, as his owner and handler, in the environment for which Cosmo was chosen: our school. Brad has faithfully, continually, and patiently addressed issues, explained our puppy’s behavior, determined goals and helped us reach them. Brad’s demeanor is pleasant and his style is gentle and firm - Cosmo adores him. He is delightful to learn from and to watch in action. Cosmo is now eight months old and he is beloved by students and faculty alike. His behavior is so obedient, loving, and gentle that some of my colleagues have arranged to hire Brad to work with their own dogs in their homes. I cannot adequately express the admiration and gratitude I feel for Brad Okeson but I highly recommend him to you as you consider training for your pup.

Dog Training Elite Greater New Hampshire is the best place to train your dog whether it be for obedience, service dog, puppy knowledge or behavioral issues. Beth and René are wonderful people and trainers and give you the attention you deserve. They are always on time, communicate efficiently and it is clear they have a great deal of knowledge and care about the results your dog puts out from their program. From the first day I contacted them about training, I was provided with a bunch of helpful information about training and recommendations. Not once was I pushed to sign up, but I was more so provided with many options of how we can get started without breaking the bank. They even offer lifetime group classes to continue to work through new life challenges and training! Our 6 month old boxer has been in the program since she was 8 weeks old, she is still so young and receives compliments on her behavior everywhere we go regardless of her immaturity stage. I am so grateful to Elite Suncoast Dog Training for changing my relationship with my dog, Sunny. I came to them with a very leash-reactive dog. Walks were stressful ~ I would scan the block ahead looking for other dogs ~ I would pivot and turn around when I saw them: I even started driving to Glencliff or Baybridge Park to avoid my neighborhood, with its close houses and small yards. The first transformation came when Aaron evaluated and demonstrated to me that my dog had a strong protective drive (there is a positive side to his leash reactivity). The second transformation was in taking the group classes and seeing how capable Sunny was in following my direction in close proximity to other dogs. It has given me confidence in my abilities to command the situation with other dogs. Sunny is not cured of his reactivity, but it has diminished it, to the point where I don’t feel completely embarrassed and discouraged in taking walks with him again. Very clear and positive way of dealing with issues your pup may have. The trainers are encouraging no matter what happens, or how stubborn your dog is. They figure out ways to solve all problems. Extremely happy to have hired them

Dog Training Elite has forever changed our lives. I got my first puppy, Vienna, and while I loved her, I struggled through the puppy stage and remember feeling overwhelmed. That changed once we started training with Kevin and Andrea. Now, Vienna is incredibly well-behaved and receives compliments wherever we go. We’re so grateful for the work they put into helping us with our dog. Their family-run facility makes you and your pet feel like family too. Amazing experience! I was so excited to have a professional trainer to help and these guys don’t disappoint!! Copper is now an official therapy dog and he loves his work! I so appreciate the time the trainers took with Copper to understand him and the best ways for us to communicate!
