We're 3 weeks in and we had results from the very first session. Azure understood our dog so quickly and she's taught us things about our dog and dogs in general that have gone above beyond my expectations of what we'd be learning. I love how she talks about and to our dog. I also love how she does the initial training each week, tweaks it where needed, repeats it many time, then coaches us through it. This is so worth the investment!!!

We are in to our 3rd week......so far everyone has been very pleasant to work with....our 5month old puppy will not be the easiest to train however he's doing good for 3 lesson sessions. The training is equal for my husband and me along with our pup Norman. It is hard work but I think well worth it.

Exceptional experience with Dog Training Elite! The team has been absolutely amazing helping me train my Belgian Malinois, Sandy. From the very first session, they’ve been professional, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable — and it shows in Sandy’s progress. She just graduated and earned her invite to the group obedience classes, and she’s now advancing toward her Personal Protection Level 2 training! What I really love is that the trainers come to my home each week and always work around my schedule. They’re easy to work with, reliable, and genuinely care about Sandy and me. They have the perfect program for my dog who is a pitti/german/mutt mix. They train you and your dog. My dog responded quickly and we saw changes in his behavior within 2 weeks.

We were so frustrated with our rescue-puppy that we were at wit’s end. Within the first week of training, we could tell a difference. It takes practice but we’re all learning and Kobe is so much more enjoyable. It is expensive, but worth the investment.

We just started our dog training for our mini labradoodle . We have had 3 training sessions so far with Azure and Karen. Azure did our first session and provided a lot of good info to get us started. Karen packed so much into our second session. In between sessions someone is always available to answer questions. We are so excited to see our Cooper progress through the trainings.

This place is excellent for dog training. It made a huge difference for us, we were at the end of our rope with a rescue from county who had a lot of behavioral issues. We did not know what to do and were desperate for a solution. Karen was our trainer and she was the absolute best. She was so good with our dog and the training. We could not have hoped for a better experience, it solved all of our problems. We have recommended Karen to anyone we know that is looking into dog training. 100% worth the money. Would do it again no question.

If you are looking for top notch training for your dog I highly recommend Dog Training Elite. They understand behavior and train in a method that is rewarding for both your dog and the owner/trainer. Training can be stressful and the trainers understand that and are responsive to both the need of the dog and the trainer so that it is an enriching and rewarding experience for your dog and for you.

Jaxon has turned his attitude around thanks to Alexa! She helps us and him with his training and we now feel confident taking him in public settings. This was a pricey one, but our dog needed help and this was the right place for the job. Our dog was quite reactive when people came over to our house. He really didn't like it and he would act aggressive, to the point where having someone watch him or even just having house guests over was a major ordeal. We went for the platinum package and overall the experience has been great. We've had private lessons with experienced dog trainers, they gave us the tools we need to keep our dog in check. Our dog is happier than ever and more confident, he's begun to play with our other dogs and more importantly we can have guests over without him losing his mind, he still doesn't like them but now we can get him to sit on his bed and calm down much more quickly. He gets over the guests being there and we can have a more normal life. Furthermore we had someone watch him when we went out of town for a few days (someone he's really not familiar with) and we had no issues. This was worth every penny, we got our lives back and his life is better. We're nearing the end of our private lessons but we have lifetime access to group lessons where he can continue to learn and grow. I would recommend dog training elite to anyone with a dog who needs training, and in fact I have recommended them to family.

Dog Training Elite is all you need for the dog of your dreams. I have been working with Neal and his staff for 4 months now and I am blown away by how much we’ve accomplished in such a short time. My gorgeous Akita was very well trained by me in obedience but I wanted him to learn protection and socialization. I cannot recommend Neal and his team enough!!! Neal is the real deal!! If you want the dog you see in the movies then all you need to do is call Dog Training Elite.

Dog Training Elite was essential to training both my husband and I and of course our new rescue. We have had Buddy 7 weeks and within two weeks of beginning their training sessions he started fitting right in with the rest of the family. So far we have had 4 sessions and he has become a well behaved dog. He is crate trained, he doesn’t destroy items anymore and is a pleasure to go for walks with because he has learned to heel, sit as well as be placed. Aspen, Azure and Tori as well as Reno are extremely gifted trainers and we look forward to group training in the coming months with them. We highly recommend DTE for your dog training needs and especially for new rescues, these dogs deserve a second chance and DTE will help you with that transition.

We have been participating in training since January. I was very apprehensive going into the process. At the first group class that I attended, I had an anxiety attack in my car. Upon her arrival, Taylor greeted me and immediately began asking about my needs. She stayed attentive throughout the class. After the class, I had another anxiety attack in my car. I dreaded the next group class but knew there was support for both my dog, Tod, and myself. I arrived to the next class and Taylor immediately asked if I was okay. She had witnessed my attack the week before and asked if she witnessed me in the midst of another attack, if she could interact with me and help give guidance on how Tod can help with the anxiety/PTSD. She said that I was not the first person to show these emotions and that she was there to help. It didn’t end there! At the first service dog class, I had the same anxiety. She found me sobbing on the bench and immediately went into training mode. She assured me that I could get through this. We made it through that class and continue to attend. This whole process has been made easier with supportive staff like Taylor. She has made it where I don’t feel like my questions or emotions are out of line.

We have had a great connection with Taylor when we go the Goodyear group classes, and service training classes. Our dog, Jack, was a bit shy at first, but he loves Taylor so much (and so do we!) she genuinely cares about our experience and always asks what she can do to help. She’s very attentive to all the dogs at our group class, and everyone loves working with her. It’s got to be a tough gig, but she does it extremly well! I’d recommend all my friends with dogs to her. I’m so grateful to Taylor for all she’s done to help our sweet Jack get to be the dog he is today! We had in home sessions with Savannah and we love her as well!!

Dog training Elite is one of the most professional training companies I’ve seen. They trained my German Shepherd Sofia as a service dog. As a disabled combat vet, my service dog was much needed to help me with ptsd and mobility issues out in public and I could not imagine my daily life without her. Love this company and their whole team! We had the pleasure of working with multiple trainers including Neil, Aspen, Mark, and Taylor. They were patient with us as new dog owners and took their time training both us and our dog on their program. Having private lessons followed by group lessons allowed us and our dog to learn the rules and practice them at home before applying them in a controlled environment. This significantly reduced my anxiety about bringing our dog in public and around our friends and family. We consistently receive compliments about how well behaved our dog is and those started shortly after we started the program!

I have worked with Dog Training Elite with two of my dogs. My first dog Branch who was 6 months when we started the program. Branch was very aggressive towards other dogs. Thanks to the owner Neil and his helper Chris my dog Branch is a well rounded dog who became my Service Dog. Unfortunately, Branch who is 6 yrs old now, has hurt his leg and needed to be retired so I began Training my new dog Felicia who is now enrolled with Dog Training Elite. She is only 11 months old and has past her Service Dog Test. Neil came to our home to evaluate Felicia and assisted in getting the process started. Taylor was the trainer who came to my home to continue training with me and Felicia. Taylor also met me and Felicia for our public training and made sure she was completing the task she will be providing. If there was something I needed to work on or if I had any questions Taylor was always able to provide me feedback. Taylor is very passionate and very knowledgeable with the process for continued training. Aspen was the trainer who completed the Service Dog Test and I appreciate how thorough she was at making sure Felicia was able to complete the task she will provide for me ongoing. I would recommend Dog Training Elite and have given out their information as we have traveled in our RV across country because they are wonderful at what they do. I greatly appreciate how much patience Neil and his Team have with dogs and their families. Especially, when helping us train Branch through his aggressive behaviors. As you can see in the photo Branch is able to lay down beside Felicia. Prior to Dog Training Elite working with him this would have never been possible.

I actually found them by google and boy was I so happy I did. This team is just perfect and full of knowledge on dogs. We went through the Service dog program they have and I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am to now have my own service dog. Each training session was fun and my dog and I learned so much in each class. Group classes with Savanah Taylor and Aspen were insightful and inspirational because we were around others like us. Also so much fun! Service dog group training with Mark, Savanah and Taylor was perfectly designed to help accustom our dogs to so many distractions. I appreciated it. But Taylor was outstanding, knowledgeable, full of energy, kind, patient, if you get to work with her your dog will gain a friend and work with a respectful trainer! Thanks DTE!

I can’t say enough about the amazing team at Dog training elite! We signed up our two dogs for their programs and it has been worth every penny! Taylor has been amazing and incredibly helpful with our puppy Sunny In our home. Reno took on our Portuguese water dog for the 10 day training at their facility and was amazing as well! Worth it! Worth it! I selected this training program because they were the most professional of the companies I met with. Savannah has routinely been punctual, prepared and 100% focused on my dog’s (and my) learning. I have seen great progress in my dog’s obedience since we started. You definitely get out of this program what you put into it so plan time to train at home between sessions. They update their training techniques to what is most effective which means they care about your success in the program. One thing that could help clients like me stay on track is calling or sending reminders to book the next training session or attend the next class. Thanks Dog Training Elite!

We went through off leash k9 training Phoenix. We have a 70+ pounds male Sheepadoodle, Murphy, who needed help with jumping on people, a calm behavior around strangers and grandchildren and taking walks. Our trainer, Brienna Ewoldt, was excellent. She is a calm, consistent trainer who tackled all of Murphy’s issues with confidence and presented us with a new and improved Murphy. Brienna mixed training with play and even got Murphy to ignore cats. His most important skill for me was the “heel” command. Murphy went from pulling on the leash and “greeting” every dog/owner he came across during a walk to staying right by my side without tugging. Had my Service Dog trained over the last year with the team she was able to complete her testing in August. Had some hiccups with protection training but was resolved. Overall Neil the owner great to work with very personable and passionate about the dogs training. Megan has done great job communicating since stepping in to handle things.

My wife decided to surprise me by bringing home three Malinois Puppies. I called Dog Elite Training Because I quickly got overwhelmed with these high-energy dogs. Can you imagine how crazy it was for me, a simple dog owner, trying to train 3 Malinois puppies? Dog Elite came to my rescue. Lexi, the trainor, has been amazing with the Malys. Dog Training Elite has been phenomenal! We are training our Labrador to be a therapy dog for our dental office. The combination of in home and group lessons has been very beneficial. The trainers are all so friendly and easy to work with. We get comments all the time about how well behaved our puppy is. At 6 months old he is proficient at all the commands. We will definitely be using Dog Training Elite for all of our dogs in the future and HIGHLY recommend them!!

The trainers really know and understand dogs. They have worked with me and my boy Tate to break bad habits, create good habits and transition into the most wonderful service dog I could hope for. Dog Training Elite saved this shepherds life. This is Echo, a 4 year old, 100 lb German shepherd that this little girl fell in love with at the shelter. My daughter went through the trauma of losing her previous gentle shepherd due to a heart based tumor, and kept bugging us to go get another shelter dog. Echo was really rough around the edges and was a snapping turtle when we brought him home, attacking the little dogs in our home. In despair, I called Dog Training Elite. I had seen them at the horse show, and was impressed they could get their dogs to do anything. I ended up taking Echo back to the shelter, something I never did as I felt helpless in integrating him into my 7 pet household. Robert, from Dog Training Elite, called me, and had the owner meet my husband and Echo back at the shelter and felt like they could rehabilitate him. While he has a long way to go, he has made amazing strides, and they saved this dogs life. I know that most people would not be willing to put the work into Echo that he needed. Echo has become quite a remarkable Shepherd, and I hope one day I can even make him a service dog for my daughter who is partially deaf and suffers from a hearing impairment.

I had Ashley as my trainer and she was the absolute best! She was very thorough with the training for my dog Rufus. I am pleased when taking him out and having people come up to me giving him and myself compliments of how well he behaves. I would recommend Ashley as she does not only work from my place but we did a session with walking around old town Scottsdale to make sure he still would work through with the distractions outside. I have not made it to group Class yet but I do look forward to working Rufus with other dogs and have a chance for him to win a prize in the class.

We had a great experience with our trainers. Initially we hired them to help us with a rescue pitbull but it didn’t work out and we were forced to do something different for our family with young kids. The remaining balance of our pre-paid training was applied to our new puppy and the experience has been remarkable! I’ve had dogs my entire life and always considered myself well informed and able to manage my dogs. Dog Training Elite took what I knew to the next level… maybe a few levels. It’s been amazing to have a young puppy so well behaved. I would recommend these trainers to anyone looking for help with their dog.

I enjoyed the work they were able to do with both myself and my dog. Throughout the training I got to see many different trainers but received the same training for each specific course. They were capable to turn my life and my dogs around. They built up the confidence is both of us and showed the world that we are able to be in control. Each lesson was thought out and properly prepared to best teach both of us what we needed to be successful. I just finished the 6 week puppy course and my pup is doing so great. I can't say enough about how amazing this group of trainers are. Ashley stood out as super energetic and super friendly. I am currently training my 3 dog's and they are doing so well. They follow all the commands with the e collar. All of my dogs know basic obedience in the house and we are currently doing group training and it is going really good. The staff at dog training elite is amazing and respond quickly to questions.

We have had an excellent experience with Ashley at Dog Training Elite thus far! She had only 2 trainings with my 6 month only pup and it’s be night/day difference in those two session- but TBH even after 1 session it was successful. She’s assertive yet caring which considering my apprehension with the collar, she worked with me to feel amazingly comfortable. She also texts to come early if that works for your scheduling. I highly recommend Ashley and as I move through my 6-8 month commitment with Dog Training Elite, I’ll be sure to review further. I will say the only reason this isn’t 5 star is their administration needs work. Scheduling is not easy. Confirmations of your appointment day of are via text... but scheduling you have to psychically call. Why? Additionally, each trainer cannot schedule appointments other than their own schedule. Which is a PITA if that trainer’s schedule is full on the desired time/day and now you have to call the office. I’ve called at least 7-8 times since seeking out initial service and despite each staff telling me there is “always” at least one person answering phones (except for 1 hour for a meeting on Mondays), I ALWAYS have to leave a voicemail and await a return call up to 2 days later- or me calling back myself impatiently. The finance guy has also called to collect full payments a couple of times despite having talked to him prior and been on the 3 month payment plan. So administration needs work but training by Ashley and TBD others! makes it worth the patience!

Thank you Dog Training Elite. We got our Belgian Malinois, Cain, when he was 12 weeks old and we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. He had crazy energy, no personal space and we couldn’t take him out of the house without him losing his mind. He would go crazy whining, pulling on the leash, and if someone would approach us, he would bark and snarl, causing a scene. On top of that, at home, he had no personal space and was the literal definition of a “fur missile”. No matter what we did or how long we would play, he would not sleep at night because we could not burn enough of his energy during the day. We took him to an 8 week puppy training course with another private trainer and it helped his basic obedience, but it really made no major change to his demeanor. At that point, we were considered rehoming him, even though we already fell in love with him. By luck, we met Neal and DTE!!! He was like the dog whisperer. After watching Neal completely tame our psychotic Malinois puppy within the first 90 seconds of meeting him, we were sold on DTE’s services. We immediately schedule an in-home demonstration of Neal’s Belgian, Bailey. Once he demonstrated her abilities and being shown that Cain had the same potential, we signed up that morning for the Level Two Obedience and Protection Training courses. After the first in-home obedience session, we were 110% reassured that we made the correct decision in hiring DTE. Cain was already a COMPLETELY different dog. (Honestly, I would have paid the money after the progress of the first session and would have been completely happy!) It was incredible to see the progression after each session and how well the DTE training methods worked. Cain was absolutely thriving on these sessions and loved every minute of it! After training with Neal and the DTE team for over a year, Cain has become an amazing dog. He goes everywhere with us, is incredibly well behaved, and we get compliments on him and his training EVERY time we go out. I can’t thank Neal and the DTE team enough for their amazing work with Cain. They are awesome people to work with and treat every client as family and every dog as if they are their own. HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING DTE FOR ANY DOG TRAINING.

I have a 1.5 year old Dutch Shepherd. My fiancé and I got her from a breeder back in Virginia and have had problems with human and animal aggression since she was a puppy. We had previously gone through months of training at a facility not capable of training her in a way that produced permanent change. When we moved out to Arizona, I was in panic mode because I still had a dog that was untrained and aggressive. That's when I did some research and found DTE. Neal came out to my house for our free consultation and I couldn't help but hold my breath. See, I didn't have high hopes as I was at the point of believing my dog could not be helped. Man, was I wrong. Within 2 training sessions, my dog gained a confidence she didn't realize was possible. She became incredible obedient and was no longer compelled to react to people and animals we encountered on walks. After multiple individual training sessions, socialization group classes, and protection classes, I can honestly say my dog is one of the most well-behaved dogs I've ever seen. I cannot say enough good things about this company as a whole, but maybe that's because they have honesty changed my life. If any of you get the trainer Percila(sp) you will be the happiest person in the world. She helped Nala and I continue to get through Nala's aggression towards dogs and people that get to close to me. Within 15 minutes she was the first in a long time to pet and handle Nala. By the end of the hour her beautiful Malinois was the first dog to sit and lay next to Nala (no aggression from Nala) in over a year. I was amazed and so thankful for her help and knowledge to further Nala and my education on how to handle things. I am so sorry I cannot remember her dogs name but that is the first dog in over a year that Nala has sat, layed and walked next to. Her dog is brilliant and knows how to take care of herself and help dogs that are to aggressive. Thank you Percilla you are the greatest. Wait for the videos AMAZING.

We first saw DTE at a home and garden show (when we did not have a dog), we were impressed by the focus and clarity with how the dogs reacted to the trainers. Fast forward almost 4 years and we remembered that encounter and we made the call to DTE for our consult. There are a lot of advertisements for dog training out there, and we interviewed several of them as we searched for who to walk with on our dog training journey. In the end, we went with our first choice, DTE, because these guys are the real deal. We trust DTE with our Heeler's training because they are passionate about what they do. They communicate commands and techniques, educate on behavior patterns, and implement safety measures for everyone in the home. We have fun at the weekend group classes, surrounded by other families who are all working towards the same training goals. A well-trained dog does not happen overnight, we work extremely hard at utilizing the training techniques and tools DTE has been guiding us on over the months and each week we see more and more progress. We would suggest the AZ DTE team to any one of our friends or those serious about dog training. We are so thankful to have them on our side.

The owner and the trainer Neil is an amazing guy. He knows his stuff! His dog training skills and experience are beyond compare and he is super nice and loves what he does. Group classes are a little bit different and less organized, laid back in my opinion when Neil is not the one doing the class. Too many breaks and the classes are usually cut short. They are supposed to be an hour long but they are not. Suggestion: since the obedience classes are held in a park, trainers should arrive 10 minutes earlier to clean up the area from dog poop so that the owners don't have to watch every step they take and try not to step in it. The trainers do not show much effort to memorize "students'" names, it seems they always only refer to the same dogs because they only know these names.

Our dog has been going through the program for a few months now and has made tremendous progress! Berkeley is a rescue with extreme anxiety which comes across as aggressive in certain situations. Within the first practice he made great progress. Now we are into our group classes and couldn't be more excited. We have worked with Marcells the whole time and he is fantastic!! He takes his time and really get to know us, our concerns and Berkeley. We have loved this program and can't refer them enough!!

Started my dog with Dog Training Elite when I moved to Arizona. He was 1 years old and knew basic commands but I felt like he could use a lot of work to be more focused. About 6 months later, and his basic commands are so much better! He listens to commands even when I’m not near him, he listens at the dog park, hes no longer hyper when he sees a new dog, and overall a more obedient dog. Pricilla helped me at home for our last session and made huge progress with the command “heel” and making him come right to my side. She was very strict and really wanted him to perform the command perfectly before moving on. I love that she challenged him, because in the end it really worked! I’ll continue going to their group classes just to fine tune his skills around distractions. Thanks Dog Training Elite!

I highly recommend Dog Training Elite. I am a dog lover and have owned 5 rescue dogs, none of which I have ever been able to properly train. Each one was unique, with its own fears, aggressions, insecurities or otherwise. I have now used Neal and DTE (and Gavin and Lexi) to train 4 different dogs. We are so very pleased with the assistance Neal and Chris have given us. They teach the tools needed to have an obedient dog. It's up to us to work with our dogs. My Dane has learned quite a bit since starting with DTE. I have not been totally diligent in working with Domino. I can only imagine how good he would be if we did put the time in required to have an obedient dog. We all have choices when it comes to picking a dog trainer. I am totally satisfied and pleased we picked DTE.

Dog Training Elite saved two of my dogs from getting put down. My first Belgian Malinois was human and dog aggressive. He wouldn't show any warning signs, he would just go and attack. I had Neal come out for the free in-home evaluation as a last resort (I either had to find a trainer that would be able to help him or would have to put him down), and as my dog was barking and lunging at him, Neal said, "He'll be easy." I didn't believe him. I laughed because this was a dog that would turn and bite me when I would hold him back from attacking other dogs and people. He showed me his own dog, Bailey, and I was immediately sold. First of all, this was the first training company that brought a dog to my house. Second of all, Neal was the first trainer that wasn't afraid of my dog. I watched him give Bailey commands from 20-30 feet away speaking no louder than at an indoor voice. I have never seen a dog happier to work than Bailey. After he demonstrated the training for us, we scheduled our first training session for a week out. Within the first 10 minutes of the first lesson, my dog's human aggression was gone. He was seriously a new dog. His dog aggression took about a month to fix only because I was so nervous to attend group class. Neal and his other trainers walked me through my first group class to make it go as smoothly as possible. After my second group class, we were able to take off my dog's muzzle, and he was able to be in close distance to other dogs. Now my dog loves meeting new people and love playing with dogs. The second dog I hired DTE to help with was a very anxious Belgian Malinois I was fostering. She was afraid of everything, and she couldn't even relax inside. Within a couple weeks, she was confident, happy, and relaxed. She is now a full time service dogs for someone. Without DTE, these two dogs could have been put down because of their serious behavioral issues. They were a threat to themselves and others, and now they are stable, level-headed, and happy dogs. I can't thank Dog Training Elite enough for all their help with my dogs!

Our consultation appointment was located in our own home and very informative and educational. We signed up immediately! Our trainer, Chris, is professional, friendly, and educational. It was refreshing not to be "sold" anything, and there was no pressure to sign up for training during the evaluation. We also got to see a small show from Bailey (Neal's dog) to see some of what we could expect with the training. We choose to go with the Gold package and have been so satisfied with Neal's professionalism and care for our dog while training that we are planning on continuing Hilda's training beyond the Gold package. During the first in home training Neal took the time to explain everything that the training would evolve. This included explaining exactly how the e-collar works and how it would be used in the training. We really appreciated this as we were initially apprehensive about using an e-collar for training. We have since had 4 in home lessons and been to around 15 group lessons, I continue to be impressed with how much Hilda has been able to learn. She has never been happier and is excited anytime we are headed to training. I would happily recommend Dog Training Elite looking to have their dog professionally trained. Neal and his trainers really are amazing.

She would not listen chewed up my yard and house and to say the least out of control but in the first 3 lessons she is calm and obedient I can walk Nala off a leash and let her play outside in the green belt with no worries of her running off on me. Neal and Bailey came to my house to meet my 6 month rescue lab mix Elle, and I was FLOORED with the level of obedience, love, companionship and a mutual respect there was. All due respect, i start a pup like a pup, the nature of the dog you get, and the breeds used have genetic predisposition and habitual behaivor comes easy. At a show advertising a product and how you use it in your training are two different topics, and certainly not grounds to bash these folks with pure nonsense. I cant say yes or no but i thought you just might be lacking in some knowledge, and i could do you a favor too. Judging by the other posts im inclined to go the way they did. We first saw DTE working at The Phoenix Home Show. I was convinced at that moment, when I was ready for a dog, DTE was going to be my trainer. I've had eight previous dogs but was never able to get the dogs trained properly. I've tried group lessons, reading books etc., but working with Neal and Chris at DTE delivered the results I was looking for in a trainer. We rescued Vixen (Malinois)on a Saturday. Neal was at our house on Tuesday. It took almost 45 minutes before Neal could take Vixen's leash from me. Vixen very quickly learned her manners and commands. In less than a month we were comfortable taking her out on errands and having friends to our house. Their program works if you follow their instructions, practice with your dog and attend the Saturday group sessions. One of the best investments I've ever made! Thank you Neal and Chris!

Neal the owner of dog training elite has done a masterful job training our dogs. My wife has seizures and needed a service dog to assist her. He trained the perfect dog (a chocolate lab Ghiraradelli) for my wife and he has been a wonderful help for my wife. We have enjoyed having our dog go with us everywhere and our dog is impeccably obedient. We have now added an additional dog to our family (Kasper a Belgian Malinois) and Neal again has worked wonders with training this high energy dog and we are having a blast with both of our dogs. I have to give Neal and his crew much thanks. Rosy, my wife, and I started training with them at the first week of May pretty much as a last resort to get our dog trained on just basic obedience, before thinking about maybe having to take her back to the shelter which we were very hesitant on doing because of what could possibly happen going back. After just one week we were highly impressed with the huge difference Neal and his team have made with Rosy. We have spent money time on training through other dog training company and gotten the certificates from them saying our dog is good to go, only to have her just totally ignore us when we are at home or even go to the park or even listening to the kids using the clicker and treat methods. Our dog is totally a complete different dog even family members and neighbors have told us about how awesome our dog is just after a week of training. Our 2 yr old yellow lab Kailani had been to a few trainers and still did not listen to us when there were "distractions" (which is often). She wanted to play with every thing that moved around her (bunnies, other dogs, people walking, kids playing). Neal came for our first session and we saw results immediately. Then Chris took over and wow....here we are 4 weeks later and she is off leash part of the time already (with few distractions) and responding very quickly to all the training methods. Could not be happier!!!!

Could not be happier with Dog Training Elite. We have a 3 year old bloodhound that could not leave the house without pulling, howling and acting insane. He also couldn't be around crowds, because he would pull us everywhere. We saw them at the home show and hired a few months later. After only 2 weeks of training we were able to go out for walks without any pulling or howling. Once we finished training he is now a model dog and does everything we ask and can take him anywhere without any problems. Neal and Tasha have been wonderful. Our family has come together now that our dog can be with us. Dog Training Elite is amazing!!

We had our initial consult last week & 1st training session today for our Matli-Poo, Kai. When his Maltese is dominant he is such a sweet-compliant-snuggly little guy; when his Poodle is dominant, which is ALWAYS when the door bell rings, guests are invited inside, or I am coming home from a brief absence - his barking & jumping is not just annoying - it is maddening & infuriating. With less than an hour's time today, he is definitely "getting it" - of course it will take lots of practice & repetition for new behaviors to become 2nd nature to him (& us!!!), but the change already is remarkable. We have wasted so much time-energy-money (on other dogs in our life) on trainers & animal behaviorists - we are thrilled to be getting these problem areas for Kai changed painlessly and permanently in time. Thank you Dog Training Elite! You are changing our family for the better!!!

Neal has been absolutely amazing with our dog Harlee! After the first session, there was an instant change. She actually listened to us! She responded to the commands immediately and all it took was working with her each day. That simple! Neal is a very professional and patient trainer who helped transform a dog that wouldn't listen into a well behaved dog. We highly recommend Dog Training Elite AZ!!

Amazing! Neil has been awesome with our dog BamBam who was showing aggression around a year old and after talking with tons of other trainers Neil and Bailey were a breath of fresh air! After only 4 classes she is walking side by side with other dogs and was even off leash with them - it's been amazing to see how confident not only she is but myself as well! Thanks Neil and Seth!!! Seth - thank you for all your help, I am so thankful and BamBam is one happy girl!

Have you ever woken up from a dead sleep, and wondered, "Why do we have THAT dog???" Well, we did, and can now say, NEVER GIVE UP! We've enlisted the help of Neal Mestas to help turn our little terrorist one year old German Shorthair pup into anything close to a well mannered dog. We've been working with Neal for a little over a month and saw almost immediate behavioral changes to Buckwheat. Those little improvements have grown significantly with our weekly home visits by Neal, and we are so incredibly blessed to have found Dog Training Elite. Neal has the patience of a saint and is nothing but encouraging to the pup and to us. THANK YOU NEAL!!!

Neal Mestas
Owner & Trainer - DTE Arizona
Neal has been training dogs his entire life, participating in his first competition at the age of 9. With a lifetime of dog training experience, he can read dog body language with ease. Neal is a patient trainer, his approach to teaching and training is enhanced by his passion for what he does, whether it be basic or advanced training, he loves it! He specializes in just about everything, from basic and advanced obedience, reactivity and aggression control, calming anxious or fearful dogs, protection work, temperament testing, and service dog training. Neal has two Belgian Malinois’ of his own, a 13 year old retired demo dog named Bailey, and Chewbacca, or “Chewie”. According to Megan, “Neal is ok ".
Karen
Trainer
With credentials from Animal Behavior College, Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, and over 10 years of professional dog training experience, Karen joins the DTE family. Karen can do it all, from service and obedience training, to titling dogs in AKC tricks, Schutzhund, French Ring, Canine Good Citizen, and so much more! Dog training runs in the family, as her father trained Search and Rescue and protection dogs. Karen’s first rescue Border Collie, Amy, was trained in agility, Frisbee and therapy work in 2002. Her 8 year old Belgian Tervuren, River, is a Confirmation champion, and holds titles in AKC tricks, CGC, Rally and Schutzhund. Her youngest Belgian Tervuren, Xeno, passed his Brevet in April of 2023. Karen enjoys the outdoors, taking her dogs on hikes, and overall, has love for animals!
Azure
Trainer
Azure was introduced to dog training by their mother who trained service dogs herself. They’ve been training dogs for over 5 years, and has recently joined our Arizona DTE family. As our lead service dog trainer, Azure is focused, determined, relationship-oriented, with a heavy focus on body language training. Azure specializes in obedience training, Canine Good Citizen testing, American Kennel Club Trick Dog testing, service training, and group park class management. Azure also has experience training disabled animals such as deaf and three-legged furry friends. Azure has a 14 year old Border Collie / Blue Heeler mix named Dash who has earned a novice trick dog title, and a Red Heeler puppy named Adrenaline, who Azure is currently training.
Alexa
Trainer
Alexa checks all the boxes: patient, compassionate, caring, determined, dog lover. Everything you’re looking for in a dog trainer, Alexa is. She has experience with obedience and behavioral modification training. She is the owner of Gunner, the gentle giant, and Fudge Pop, the Frenchie with attitude.
Megan
Operations Manager
Megan makes the Arizona DTE company go ‘round. As our operations manager, Megan handles all things Dog Training Elite, from making sure our clients have what they need when they need it, filling in for trainers and office staff on sick days, handling the chaos of business, to making her employees laugh. Her introduction to DTE as a client in 2016 quickly transformed into employment, where she jumped around from state to state for the business. Megan currently resides in Arizona with her two dogs, Mazie the Belgian Malinois who does protection work, and Blue the super-mutt who is service trained. According to Neal “She’s pretty good”.
