Group Dog Training Class Schedule
Please Note: Group Classes are for Dog Training Elite Clients Only
Dog Training Elite offers small dog training classes after obedience training is completed and only once a dog is fully immunized. Dog obedience classes in Howard & Anne Arundel Counties are held on a consistent basis and are included in most packages. Our dog obedience training classes are designed to place yourself and your dog in public places (surrounded by other dogs, people, smells, and sounds), so that you can train your dog to obey you... regardless of the many distractions screaming for their attention!
Our group class schedule is coming very soon...
...please check back often!
Why Are Group Dog Training Classes Important?
- Provide Socialization
- Training Practice in Distracting Situations
- Fun and Friendly Community Building
- Small and Highly Personable
- For all Breeds and Sizes
- Included in Most Packages
- Basic Obedience Training Required
- Only for Fully Immunized Dogs
Classes are a mix of all dog breeds and sizes, and our classes provide necessary socialization skills and practice around high levels of distraction. We like to make our group classes exciting for both dogs and handlers, we have created fun training games and an environment that feels less like a class and more like a social outing. We are building a community and our dog training groups tend to feel like a family and less like a dog training group. Friends are made, bonds are formed, and both dogs and dog owners look forward to their once a week group training sessions.

Our Wheaten Terrier, while generally a good dog, is a Terrier with all of their crazy behaviors. But he was starting one that was pretty dangerous - reacting to passing vehicles. He also would react to certain dogs in the neighborhood. We worked with DTE for several weeks to train our dog to act/react appropriately while on walks, etc. When he reverted to reacting to cars again, they continued to work with us. For the last several months, he has been amazingly good. DTE worked with us throughout and made clear that they would be available if he needed more work. We can definitely recommend them.— Robert Sledgeski

I recently had the pleasure of working with Christy at Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland and I can't say enough good things about them! From the very beginning, she was responsive, professional, and truly seemed to care about the well-being of my dog. The training program was tailored to my dog's specific needs and the trainer worked closely with me to make sure I was comfortable with the techniques being used. I was amazed at how quickly my dog responded to the training and how much progress we made in a relatively short amount of time. But what really stood out to me was Christy's commitment to ongoing support. She didn't just teach me how to train my dog - she also provided me with the tools and resources I need to continue reinforcing the training at home. Overall, I highly recommend Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and effective dog training team. They truly exceeded my expectations and I'm grateful for all that they've done for me and my furry friend.— Rob Nash

Trainer after trainer gave us the same "he needs more exercise/he is bored" without even evaluating our specific situation. Christy quickly picked up on the fact that our dog is just extremely high energy and needs more than just physical activity. Dog Training Elite allows our dog to be obedient while still "working" his active brain. Now we have fun and productive training sessions, but best of all RELAXING, calm, in-between-times. DTE is worth every penny!— Sam Kramer

I would recommend Dog Training Elite to every dog owner who would like their dogs trained. Our dog, Augie, no longer barks, knows most of the commands, and he is so much calmer now! Thank you to Christy, and Sammi for all their help..— Marissa Mercready

Today was a perfect day for WALL-E and l. The training was very interesting and very helpful me to do at home. I was impatient at the moment, but Samantha help and walk me through on how to be more calm and patient when Wall-E gets in his ways. Thank you Samantha, see you next weekend 😊.— Reginald Washington

I wanted my relationship with my Cane Corso puppy Artemis to be a rewarding experience for us, and Christina and her team did just that. During Artemis's two weeks at puppy day camp, she excelled at some tasks, while other tasks showed her stubborn and defiant side. Nevertheless, Christina and her team were up for the challenge, established confidence and a solid foundation in Artemis, and provided me with techniques we work on daily as a team. I was amazed during our first walk at how enjoyable it was for both of us. Unlike before, we look forward to our daily evening walks and meeting the neighbors and their fur babies. On the rare occasion when Artemis's protective behavior shows, I know precisely how to handle the situation, depending on the circumstances. Artemis and I are looking forward to being able to join the group activities with Dog Training Elite once she gets a little older. Thanks, Christina and Dog Training Elite—

I have a 3 year old male doberman that has gone through previous obedience training, and I decided to move forward with Dog Training Elite's Gold package to explore new training methods and to refine what he knows. Before Dog Training Elite, I have never used an E-Collar. The main reason why I didn't use an E-Collar was the stigma behind them, but Christy was SUPER informative and knowledgeable on the E-Collar and how to successfully use the tool. She made me feel comfortable and confident using the E-Collar. Now that I know how to use the E-Collar, I would never go back! My boy LOVES Christy and her team as they give such a calm, firm, and positive presence. Christy has been there for us (anytime of the day or night) for our random questions and checks in during the week to see how everything is going. We just finished the 5 in-home sessions and we're onto the 24 group sessions which I think is an awesome deal. We're super excited!— Nicole Butcher

My dog Dusty (still a puppy at 9 months) started training with Elite and she is doing great. She is a labradoodle and she is very strong so I needed to be able to control her, and not have to out pull her. The in home lessons were wonderful, and we are continuing to work on her behaviors daily. She has been great walking without pulling now, and listening much better. I am looking forward to the park lessons with other dogs.—

Christy and Shaun are awesome! Having a well trained puppy (6 mos) is paramount! My dog now goes with me to the office and is very well behaved and loves to greet new customers without barking or jumping. Highly recommend Dog Training Elite. Looking forward to the group session training.— Chad Houck

Our dog Leo was what we referred to as a flight risk. He had gotten out before and was in real need of discipline training. He was also a hard puller on walks and not at all a good listener when it did not suit him in any situation. After attending Dog Training Elite, he is a totally different dog! He LOVES the training he got (and continues to get at home) and is eager to please. He is still in training mode, but the change in his behavior is 180 degrees from what it was. He was a good dog, but now he's a great dog! And we have Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland to thank for that!—

As a first time puppy owner, working with Christy at Dog Training Elite as giving me and my puppy (Saban) the confidence needed to transition into our new living and social space together. My bichon/poodle mix has made a complete 180 degree turn; he is no longer dashing out of open doors, he has a better understanding of basic commands such as come, sit, down, place, and heel---most important I am not longer tripping over him and the leash. Christy makes herself available when you have specific questions or issue after scheduled training—which is always helpful as she tailors the next session to you and your puppy’s needs. Dog Training Elite is genuinely committed to the success of you and your puppy and is highly recommended.— Meresa Stacy

Omgosh I can’t say enough great things about Dog Training Elite of MD. I had my dog to a previous trainer ( $$$$) for a board and stay for 2 weeks and I felt there was very little progress with my dog. After only a few sessions with Christy my dog and I are so much happier! He knows what’s expected of him and I’m confident with him now around other people and other dogs. He was struggling with aggressive behavior with another dog in the house as well as other dogs on leash as well as excessive barking. Christy was patient with both me and my pup and we can’t thank her enough!! Highly recommend this company !!— Dawn Bracley
