We started working with Christy and Sean for our puppy Loki when he was about 10 months old. He had so much energy and we didn’t know how to hone it in and have him listen. After about 2 months, he is like a new dog. He is still a puppy and enjoys playing as much as ever, but when we need him to listen, he does. We’ve improved on not jumping, “place”, walking on a leash, and his reactions towards other dogs. Christy and Sean are patient, generous with their time, and always willing to try whatever the owner feels comfortable with. Would highly recommend them and would use them for any dogs we have in the future!

Dog Training Elite is fantastic! We tried lots of training for our high energy lab without a lot of success until now. They taught him and us a clear set of commands, gave us the tools we needed to teach him. They were always there to answer our questions and give us feedback along the way. It made a huge difference. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about Dog Training Elite and the work they have been doing with my dog, Oliver, as he trains to become my Service Dog. From the beginning, I have been extremely impressed by their professionalism, transparency, and ethical approach to training. They have always been clear with me about the process, the expectations, and Oliver’s progress. I never feel pressured or rushed. Instead, I feel that they genuinely care about building a successful, healthy partnership between Oliver and me. One of the things I appreciate most is their approach to training. They use positive reinforcement and methods tailored to the very high standards required of a Service Dog, particularly for public access. They understand that training a Service Dog is about much more than teaching commands—it is about developing reliability, confidence, communication, trust, and a strong working relationship between the dog and handler. I also deeply respect that they prioritize long-term compatibility and success over quick fixes or simply checking boxes. Oliver is treated as an individual, and his personality, abilities, comfort, and relationship with me are all taken into consideration. That means a great deal to me. Watching Oliver grow and seeing what he is learning has been wonderful. I can already see the difference their training is making, not only in his skills but in the partnership we are developing together. For anyone considering professional dog training—especially Service Dog training—I highly recommend Dog Training Elite. My experience with them has been exceptional, and I am incredibly grateful for the care, knowledge, patience, and integrity they have brought to Oliver’s journey toward becoming my Service Dog. I recommend without hesitation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Christy and Taylor were fantastic to work with! They were incredibly patient with our puppy and always took the time to answer our questions. Their communication was excellent, and they were so supportive throughout the entire training process. We were amazed by how much our puppy grew and learned in such a short time. They also did a great job explaining the "why" behind their training methods, which gave us the confidence to continue reinforcing everything at home. We couldn't have asked for a better start with our new dog and highly recommend them!

The team at dog training elite is fantastic! They are attentive and truly care about our dog. We have seen major improvements in our dogs behavior over the past few months of training and look forward to continuing our work together!

I initially found out about Dog training elite from one of their clients. I saw how well trained her dog was and she send me to these wonder people. To say that my mind is blown by how professional these trainers are is an understatement. Both of my dogs have come such a long way in their training and we aren't even done yet! Their prices are more than fair for a a lifetime of your dog behaving as well as they do while training and after.

Dog Training Elite is the best! My husband and I rescued a 2yr old Goldendoodle after having spent 12+ hrs/day in her crate for most of her life. When she came to us, she was unsocialized and fearful of people, overstimulated on walks (pulled like a maniac), and in general, unsure of anything outside the home. Barking was her coping mechanism and something we couldn’t live with much longer!😫 Her energy was starting to effect on our resident dog and we were at the point of considering having to return her to the rescue. After reaching out to a number of local dog trainers, Christy made a free in-home visit and provided a clear and strategic plan to address and work through target behaviors. The advice given in the free consultation was enough to restore a sense of calm to our household before even getting started with training. Each training session focused on 1 or 2 basic obedience commands which our pup picked up quickly. Christy and her team were patient and informative throughout each session and remained available via call or text between sessions to address any questions or challenges that popped up between sessions. We began our training journey in February, and by April, our pup knows all her basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, warms up quickly to new people, stopped 90% of her barking (a HUGE win for us!), and can now go on off-leash hikes with excellent recall. Having chose the platinum plan, we’re excited to start group sessions in the coming weeks. Finding a trainer with the right expertise, communication skills, and care for your pup can be a challenge. Look no further and call Dog Training Elite of Maryland!

Working with Christy and Dog Training Elite was a top notch experience from the first day. Christy and her team helped train my cavapoonas a therapy dog. They were knowledgeable, positive and so patient. As a three dog owner, Dog Training Elite has been the best trainer I have ever worked with, and hands down would recommend them without hesitation. Thank you, Christy!

Review from Yates Family Labradors We’ve had an excellent experience working with Christy and Sean at Elite Dog Training of Central Maryland. As Labrador retrievers breeders, the people we recommend reflect directly on our program—and they’ve earned our trust completely. To date, we’ve had roughly 10 of our puppy families work with them, and the feedback has been consistently positive. Christy and Sean are not only knowledgeable trainers, but genuinely pleasant people to work with. They care deeply about the dogs, the families, and just as importantly, the breeders and vendors they partner with. What truly sets them apart is their understanding that every dog is trainable, but that training outcomes are strongly influenced by how a dog is raised and where it comes from. They respect good breeding, thoughtful early development, and they take the time to understand the whole dog—not just the behavior in front of them. Their communication, professionalism, and shared values make them a standout training partner. We’re excited to continue working alongside them in 2026 and beyond and look forward to supporting more shared clients together. Highly recommend Christy and Sean to any family looking for quality, ethical, and effective dog training.

Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland has been the best training experience we’ve ever had — by far. From the very beginning, the owners and trainers made us feel supported, not sold to. Our first phone call and the in-person evaluation were incredibly informative and genuinely stress-free. It did not feel like a pressure sale at all. They took time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions, and then gave us the space to think through what made the most sense for our family and our dogs. We never felt rushed — just encouraged. We have two Field Golden puppies: one is 11 months old, and the other is about 7 months old. Training two young dogs at once can feel overwhelming, but the team has been so patient, loving, and flexible with both of them. They’ve adapted the training to each pup’s age, personality, and learning style, and they’ve also been incredibly accommodating to our needs and schedules. Tammy, Christy, Sean, and Richard are all fantastic. They always take their time with us, make sure we understand each step, and are consistently available and understanding. You can tell they take real pride in the outcome of the training and truly care about the dogs and the families they work with. That’s something we haven’t experienced with other companies we’ve tried in the past, where we felt rushed or like it was one-size-fits-all. We aren’t even finished with training yet, and we’re already noticing huge improvements in both of our pups. Richard, especially, has a special bond with our dogs, and it’s been amazing to see how much they trust and respond to him. Working with different trainers has also been essential; each person brings their own style and approach, and that variety has helped us push through hurdles and keep making progress. We’re truly grateful we chose Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland. If you want training that’s effective, supportive, and built around your dogs, this is absolutely the team to go with. Highly recommend.

Easy to work with, knowledgeable. They spend enough time to make sure you understand your responsibilities working with your dog. Over all very satisfied.

I feel truly happy to have found Elite. We started training our dobbie at 10 weeks and it was the best decision we made as a family. From our consult meeting we knew we found the perfect place. We opted in for the platinum so we have unlimited group sessions. We worked with richard who is so knowledgeable and super easy going. The scheduling process was also very easy and worked well with our schedules. Tammy and Christy were always there to help us with any questions. I guess what I am trying to say is that you don't have any further for training. Thank you all at dog training elite

I can’t say enough about the training my dog received here. I have a young lab who was a challenge to say the least but since starting the training, we have seen massive improvement. Walks used to be a never ending tug of war match that neither me or my dog enjoyed. Now they are relaxing and enjoyable for us both. His manners in the house and around other people has greatly improved. I Richard, the trainer was patient and explained everything very easily and was always happy to help with questions or reviews with things we learned. A wonderful experience all around.

My experience with Dog Training Elite has surpassed my expectations! Richard has been an incredible trainer. He takes the time to explain the what, the how, and the why when training our dog Louie. He gives us plenty of feedback and helps us set goals as we progress. We’ve seen major changes in Louie since we began training almost two months ago. The company as a whole is well run and professional.

I would highly recommend to others looking to train their dog! They are professional, knowledgeable and customize the training based on your situation and what you are looking to accomplish. We have a 7 year old Pomeranian who never had formal training and we were looking for some more control/training given a few issues we were experiencing. We were a bit nervous about the e collar given his size (7lbs) but they took the time to fully go over the technology, safety and benefits. This team is very thorough and you can tell they truly care about your pet safety while working through the training. We worked with both Christy and Richard. They are both fantastic. Our Pom is incredibly stubborn and while some things he picked up quickly others he was very resistant. Both Christy and Richard have techniques and work arounds for your specific pet if they are resistant to certain training methods (especially for older dogs). Both my wife and I are amazed at how much our Pom has learned and is following from the training which has given us better control over our Pom. If you are looking for solid trainer for your pet, a reputable brand and top notch customer service I would highly recommend hiring for your dog training needs.

The training for my dog Jimmy has been amazing. He has come so far with the training from Christy & Richard. They have been clear in their instructions, and they have been positive and patient with Jimmy & me.

We had an amazing experience with Dog Training Elite, and I can't say enough good things about our trainer, Richard. He was always punctual, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. From day one, he built a great rapport with our dog, Mugsy, and the results speak for themselves. Mugsy has made tremendous progress in her obedience, and we feel much more confident as dog owners thanks to Richard’s guidance and training methods. He took the time to explain the "why" behind each technique and customized the sessions to suit Mugsy’s temperament and needs. If you're looking for effective training with a knowledgeable and respectful trainer, I highly recommend Dog Training Elite—and especially Richard. We're so grateful for the difference he’s made in our dog’s behavior and in our home!

The team at Dog Training Elite is amazing! We started puppy training at week 9, and at 9 months, the results for me and my English lab are above expectation. While there is structure to the method, Christy and Richard customize how best to train for results - not in the least cookie cutter! They are experts in knowing your dog and understanding your goals. In fact, they are so good, they correctly and gently dialed me back because I was over training. The group sessions are very useful. And Tammy makes sure you stay on schedule and makes scheduling sessions easy. I recommend the max package, which comes with unlimited group sessions for continued training and challenges. I’ve referred them twice already. If you want a well trained family pet, look nowhere else. Dog Training Elite is the shop to use.

I have been working with Christy for a few weeks now, and am so incredibly delighted and impressed with the training program. My dog is eleven years old and we are brushing up on some skills because she is a classically stubborn cairn terrier – but even after just our first session she was already a different dog. Working with my dog has gone from occasionally frustrating to consistently delightful, and the training has made it feel like we are finally speaking the same language. Christy is very patient and thorough and clearly has a great love for dogs; I have a lot of trust in her work and advice. Additionally, communication and responsiveness from Tammy and the rest of the team is fantastic. Thank you!!!

As the "Mom" of a 70lb Malinois who was a wild child, I knew I needed help. From the first lesson, Christy and Sean gave me the tools I needed to feel more in control and after several lessons adding tools to my toolbox my wild child is on his way to being a super well mannered dog who is obedient and a joy to walk! I can't thank Christy and Sean enough.
