One of Dog Training Elite’s most popular dog training services is to teach basic dog obedience training in Glendale / Peoria, AZ. This includes both in-home dog training sessions and group classes for a more advanced approach.
We use positive dog training in Glendale / Peoria based on the classical conditioning theory, paired with an electronic collar-- this is not a shock collar. Unlike a shock collar, an electronic collar does not hurt or harm the dog and is used to obtain a dog's attention. We believe in using ongoing praise to encourage good behavior. The difference becomes clear when comparing a dog that is trained out of anxiety and intimidation vs a dog who truly desires to please from the inside out.

Obedience dog training covers commands such as:
- Lay down (next to you & at a distance)
- Heel (walk with you, no more pulling)

- Place (go to bed)
- Sit (next to you & at a distance)
- Off (furniture when desired)

Our Balanced Theory
We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. In its simplest form (after proper conditioning), when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking about it. Our unique techniques ensure our program is a success no matter what behavior we encounter.

I can not recommend Dog Training Elite DTE) strong enough!!!! From day 1 the changes in my dog’s behavior blew me away. My Akita knew the basics and was a very good dog but I wanted an exceptional dog. A dog that would protect me or my family when needed but also he needed to be on his best behavior at ALL times. My training began with Karen (an excellent trainer with a natural gift to communicate with your furry best friend) Now we are working directly with Neil and everyday I feel like we are moving leaps and bounds. My dog has been in training for a couple months now and Savanna has been amazing. Savanna with dog Training Elite is amazing! She is very patient and friendly to my overly hyper dog Cairo. She’s also very knowledgeable about training dogs and always provided the reason they train they way they do, which for me is very important.She explains in great detail and is always willing to help and give advice.
