Our Balanced Theory
We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. In its simplest form (after proper conditioning), when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking about it. Our unique techniques ensure our program is a success no matter what behavior we encounter.
-
Empowering Owners
We empower Owners to train so their dog knows who to obey at all times. -
Personalized
We deal with problem behaviors on a personal basis. -
Environment Specific
We train wherever issues tend to arise (i.e. jogging, park, home).
-
Supportive
We support Owners in the off-hours (when training is "not in session"). -
Involved
We work with all members of the household. -
Simplified & Customized
We plan training around the owner's schedule and require only 20 min/day follow-up practice.
-
Continued Training
Additional programs / group sessions offered after in-home training. -
Lifetime Investment
We follow up & are invested in the owner's success long-term. -
Satisfaction Ratings
Our high client satisfaction rating sets us apart from competitors.

Fantastic trainers and proven methodology. We have a 1 1/2 year old 80 lbs Sheepadoodle. Within about 6 weeks, he changed from a leash-puller to a full on off leash dog. We hike and run with him off leash and enjoy walking with him a lot more (I climbed a Colorado 14er with him yesterday fully off leash). Life-changing for us. Highly recommend.— Arun Sundar

I’ve been working with DTE Dog Training Elite, Since August 2021. Told them I had a 28 year old daughter with cognitively delayed Epilepsy, balance issues depression and anger, They found the perfect dog for my daughter. Nevaeh is only 5 1/2 months old and is very well trained/behaved, smart, and loving. DTE and the Ballard family have been so kind and helpful. I look forward to continued training, and the new friends I have made at DTE— Debbie Schiff (DJ)

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Dog Training Elite-Denver! Our yellow Labrador, Luke, has done wonderfully—such an amazing transformation he has come through—with all the professional training from Dog Training Elite! He really looks forward to his training time everyday and loves Group Class as well! I LOVE our training time together and just the everyday stuff like…healing when we go for a walk and his eagerness to try to fit in with other dogs he doesn’t know…has become so much easier! It has definitely strengthened our bond even deeper.. plus we get to experience so many “Good Dog Days” together now! I couldn’t be happier with all the support, patience, expert training and helpful advice with whatever we needed. We really want to thank ALL of the trainers and especially the owners/trainers, Bert, Sarah and Adria, for helping us through every aspect of Luke’s training…and to be honest, more help was needed on my end then in Luke’s! LOL! We feel like family and this is a rare find with any business! I highly recommend Dog Training Elite for your fur babies! The bond you create with your dog, through professional training from Dog Training Elite-Denver, will last a life time!—

We were at a loss on how to help our puppy develop to be a well mannered dog. We saw immediate positive results when we started this program.— John Arredondo

I met Sarah at Aspen Grove and signed up for a home demonstration. The appointment was set, but I called Sarah in hysterics because Bucky had escaped from the front door for the umpteenth time. Sarah moved her schedule around so that we could meet sooner. I admit, I was a bit skeptic that my money would go to waste and that it wasn't possible in six sessions for Bucky to change. Well, six sessions later I was in tears again; this time because Bucky was listening to my commands and seemed to be so responsive. As an aside, the Ballard family members are exceptional human beings.— Lisa Aiken-Jillson

In the midst of the Covid 19 quarantine our family had the opportunity to adopt a young mini schnauzer. There were some issues that we wanted to be addressed but didn't know what to do. Simple walks were difficult and general obedience was not always so easy. Trying to figure out our new dog was stressful at times. But, thanks to the Ballard's and Dog Training Elite, life with our dog is so much more enjoyable for our family and the our dog. It has changed everything for us as first time dog owners. Dog Training Elite is exactly what we needed. There continued support is still ongoing even now as we continue to train our dog. If you want to have that special bond and relationship with your dog, I highly recommend Dog Training Elite.— Michael Ludlam

These wonderful people transformed my two beautiful but Ornery dogs into well behaved beautiful ones. Before them I could not walk them together with out taking life or limb risk. They broke my ankle going after a Christmas reindeer ornament. Now we go everyday along with my daughters dog without any danger to them, other dogs or myself. It is worth every penny and then some. I give them 10 stars.— Nanci Pinson

The quality of their program is so much better than we have experienced in the past with other places. Most programs only make your dog do something if you have a treat. This is an affordable solution to serious training needs.— Rob Taylor
