Fantastic training for my 4 year old Golden. My boy loved his trainer and responded very well to everything he was taught. I will also say the business is run extremely professionally. Very good communication at every step of the process. Every question I had was answered quickly and you can tell Josh and the trainer Kevin are great at what they do. I also like the fact that there are group classes every so often that you can train with other graduates of the program at a park.

The Best decision we made for Cody and my family!! I honestly thought my dog, Cody, was untrainable. Cody is a 6-year-old, energetic Labrador Retriever who would pull us down the street every single time we went for a walk. We couldn’t take him to parks, he wouldn’t listen, and he had a hard time bonding with strangers. I truly believed that was just the way he was. Then we met Kevin. From the very beginning, Kevin was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly understanding. What amazed me most was how quickly he bonded with Cody. Seeing someone connect with my dog the way Kevin did gave me hope that things could actually change. Kevin took the time to teach both Cody and me in a way that was easy to understand and follow. He never made me feel overwhelmed and was always willing to answer questions and help us work through challenges. His patience with both of us was something I’ll always appreciate. One of Cody’s biggest challenges was being around other dogs. Walks were stressful because he would react whenever we passed another dog, and I was constantly worried about how he would behave. Kevin worked with us through those issues and helped Cody learn how to stay calm and focused. Now we can walk past other dogs with so much more confidence. Today, Cody walks perfectly by my side. The pulling is gone, his bad habits have improved tremendously, and he listens so much better. The difference in our daily lives is unbelievable. We can finally enjoy walks, trips to the park, and family outings without stress. It’s honestly been such a breath of fresh air!!🥹 Words can’t fully express how grateful I am for everything Kevin has done for us. When I say we tried everything for Cody before the training, I mean everything!! At one point, we even wondered if Cody had sudden rage syndrome because of the way he would act. Our neighbors thought he was a horrible dog and that he would never change, but Kevin saw something completely different in him.Before Kevin We tried no-pull leashes, anxiety medication for trips to parks and the vet, muzzles, different training methods, and everything else you can think of, and nothing worked at all!! If you’re considering training for your dog, I cannot recommend Kevin enough. I had so many doubts and fears that Cody would never change, but Kevin proved me completely wrong. Thanks to his patience, knowledge, and dedication, Cody is a completely different dog today. Josh, Brian, Kevin, and Haley are great to work with. The results we saw with Foundry have been amazing. Foundry is a very reactionary family member when seeing another dog, unknown person, and wild animals especially deer. We were not able to get Foundry’s attention during his reactionary episodes but the Elite team have brought him down from 100 to a 0 while also training us to do the same. I sincerely can not express my gratitude for how professional the team is at the North Olmsted facility. I honestly thought my dog would be a tough dog to train, boy was I wrong, within a couple of days I started to see Moose transform into a completely different dog. I have so many good things to say about Dog Training Elite, I don’t know where to begin! We did both of our dogs, a Cardigan Corgi and Teacup Pomeranian. The trainers helped so much. I was in the hospital and my boyfriend was taking the dogs to training. Everyday the trainers walked him through what my dog had done that day and let him take videos so I could keep up on training myself! Josh is a rockstar! He helped us through the whole process and was very understanding! If you are looking for training that will last and allow your dog to be the best version of themselves then I would HIGHLY recommend Dog Training Elite Cleveland!

Dog Training Elite Greater Cleveland is exceptional. They helped train my little monster as both a service animal and therapy dog. He’s constantly getting compliments on how well-mannered he is and how calm he behaves across environments. He’s such a playful gentleman with other dogs. Dog Training Elite Greater Cleveland is the VERY BEST! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. We were beside ourselves because our dog was showing extreme resource guarding and being very aggressive to the point we were seriously considering rehoming him. We've always been dog owners and never had any issues with a dog until this time. Our dog's aggressive behavior was VERY scary. He would sometimes be like "Kujo" when he got around food. He would growl like a wild dog, show his teeth and snap at us if we got near his food. It was something we had never experienced before. I was scared of him and I was very afraid he would bite someone. He would bark ferociously at the neighbors if they were outside and acted like he was going to eat them alive! I was looking into rehoming him and if you knew me and my love for dogs you would be very surprised that I would even think of rehoming him. I pictured myself handing him over to a new owner and I thought if he acted out and got aggressive they may hurt him or put him down. I found that thought unbearable. As a last straw we took him to Dog Training Elite in North Olmsted and his transformation was absolutely MIRACULOUS!!! In a matter of 2 weeks we had a completely different dog! It was unbelievable! The trainers there were awesome. They not only trained our dog but they trained us on how to manage him. It was so simple. We followed up with their training at home and my husband would take our dog to the extended free training on Saturdays in the park. My husband now enjoys showing off our dog and how well he listens. Josh is a pillar when it comes to dog training in Northeast Ohio, he’s one of those trainers that can truly train and connect with the human, often the most difficult and overlooked part. We had an amazing experience with Dog Training Elite Greater Cleveland! Kevin was absolutely fantastic — he was incredibly patient and knowledgeable during our off-site training sessions with our dog, Lily Rose. He was always available to answer any questions we had, no matter how small, which made the whole process so much easier for us as dog owners. The rest of the staff was also really great and so helpful throughout the entire process of training Lily Rose. You can really tell the whole team is passionate about what they do, and it showed in the results. Lily Rose has made incredible progress and we couldn't be happier. I am so grateful I found josh at dog training elite. I had been to 4 other trainers with my german shepherd and was told there was nothing I could do that I should buy a kennel and crate for when people came to my home and to use a muzzle when out in public which to me was not a solution but after training with Josh, River is a completely different dog josh showed me how to train River to be cordial in public and around friends and family I feel so blessed to have found Josh. River and I are now considering joing a search and rescue team. If you are trying to decide if dog training elite is right for you or worth the money it definitely is.

This has been the best experience for my puppy chunks ever! From the initial consultation to the in home trainings after being in the facility, the whole process has been smooth and stress free and has made a huge difference. We cannot express enough how this training changed our dog Mickey for the better. Mickey had no confidence before the in facility training classes. He enjoys learning and he is so happy since his confidence has soared. Every one of the trainers were so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to read Mickey and knew what he needed to respond to commands. It was amazing from day one to see the transformation in our dog. He shows a calmness now yet a readiness to please. He does not jump on company any longer when they arrive. It is such a pleasure to take him on walks as he is attentive and enjoys hearing the command to heel. We thought that was enough in itself but the other commands that were taught such as sit, down, place and off have become second nature to him in such a very short time. Kevin has come to our home for in home training and has helped tweak a few commands this was a tremendous help. Since the training also helps us as owners/trainers we have been able to even do some fun tricks with Mickey such as spin, reverse, high five just to name a few just because he loves to keep learning. Another major change, Mickey never goes on our new furniture any longer when we are not at home once we commanded him off, along with the help of the E Collar this was a fast turn around. We are so pleased with the whole program and tell everyone we know about it as they have seen Mickeys positive changes.

We used Dog Training Elite for our foster dog, Champ and couldn't be happier with the outcome! Champ was very fearful and had a traumatic past, and we chose Dog Training Elite because of their extensive experience working with nervous dogs. We pursued obedience training hoping to establish routine, boundaries, and help Champ build trust in his humans. Champ genuinely loved going to "school" every day, and came home at the end of the program with a good understanding of all the basic commands we were expecting. The team was also great about transferring their knowledge and techniques to us to be able to continue working with Champ and building up distractions. While Champ will always be a nervous dog, we've seen his confidence grow so much since he's been home and we're excited to see how far he can go!

Josh has been in my home for multiple training sessions, and I can’t say enough great things about him. Not only is he incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but he’s also genuinely personable and easy to work with. We have a great time each session, and my 7-year-old dog has made tremendous progress in just three visits — far more than I ever expected in such a short time. Elite in North Olmstead is FANTASTIC! We now have well behaved 9 month old pug sisters who actually sit, come and stay in place! I was impressed from the start, with the detailed, thoughtful approach to our orientation, sign up and start of class. The trainers were fantastic because they explained Rosie and Frankie's behavior - broke down the why's - and taught us right along with the girls. My confidence grew with each week, despite the unexpected distractions of life (including a trip to the hospital). I was impressed with the way this group worked as a team and really cared about my furry family members. Our girls went into heat in the middle of their two week plan, and Josh called us at work so we could be prepared and assured us we would pick right back up when they finished. Sure enough! The cost is well work it. My expectations were far exceeded. These trainers know dogs, they know how to train dogs, and teach the humans as well! Pugs are for stubbornness. This is pug 7 and 8 for us, and for the first time I'm walking well-behaved dogs outside! The girls are leaving things alone, sitting when told and seem to have a certain calmness and confidence since class. These folks know what they are doing and they do it in the most professional, compassionate way!

Josh and his team of trainers are top notch! We took our 6 month old German shepherd there for obedience training. We have noticed a huge difference in lunas behavior. Thank you all at elite dog training.

This should have been written months ago, but because of the training our pups went through, for the first time in two years, we are no longer prisoners of our home and have been busy traveling and enjoying life with our well-behaved pups. Before Josh came my husband and I were unable to leave our house together, one of us had to remain home to ensure our home wouldn’t be destroyed. We were also unable to have friends and family over for fear of someone being bitten. We addressed our concerns with our veterinarian who HIGHLY recommended Josh and his team. She specifically named Josh because she was aware of his success turning around the behaviors of the most aggressive dogs. So now we had three choices: remain isolated, enlist the help of Josh or euthanize our pup. We trust our veterinarian completely and decided to call Josh. We signed up for the at home, 1:1 training since Bodhi was not appropriate for the group training sessions yet. On his first training day, Bodhi was a growling, gnashing, Whirling Dervish. We were scared for Josh, but he was calm. By the end of the first hour Bodhi sat still at Josh’s side. Each week brought larger improvements. Not only was the aggression gone, but other unstable behaviors ( jumping, non-stop barking, charging the fence) also diminished. We have now joined a new community with people walking their dogs in close proximity to us without an issue. Friends who were unable to visit because of Bodhi’s behaviors now enjoy interacting with him. We have been able to crate train him and are free to leave as a couple. Additionally, we have been able to apply what we learned To help our other dog be well behaved. The training that we learned can be applied to all of our future pups as well. Ours was very dire situation that was completely turned around in eight weeks due to the training Josh

My pup is very energetic and they were able to relocate that energy into training and away from destructive behaviors. We did the two week in facility training and finished our 3 follow ups, and he’s developed so much confidence. We first enlisted help from Dog Training Elite last November, about two months after we adopted Oswald. He was extremely scared, undisciplined and reactive around other dogs. And with his large size, we knew we needed help. We chose the day camp training program to help get Oswald (and us!) the training that was badly needed. Josh’s expertise is what drove me to choose Dog Training Elite, and he and his team of trainers deeply care about the dogs and want to see you succeed. And having the continued support of Josh and his team has been invaluable. We have drop-in sessions, home sessions and weekly group training available to us, which have also been of great help. With training and time, Oswald is now a relaxed, well-behaved dog — who can now just be a dog! Friends and family who saw how Oswald behaved when we first adopted him compared to now, always comment on what a good dog he is. Dog Training Elite was recommended to us, and we would recommend them to other dog owners 100% of the time.

Josh is currently training our dog. He has a tendency to bite at times but Josh is taking the bull by the horns and training our dog into make him obedient and less aggressive. His tips and training methods have improved our dog significantly. One of our friends even noticed he was way better now than before the training. Josh is also very approachable and responds quickly over text if anything arises. He takes the time and effort to make sure the dog is trained with care Instead of fear.

I can’t say enough great things about Josh! He’s truly amazing, so in tune with Enzo and always makes him feel completely comfortable. His patience and attention to detail are unmatched. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and is passionate about what he does. He’s always willing to help, answer questions, and go the extra mile. DTE is fantastic! Our pup was resource guarding and bit my wife and I. We have grandchildren and this behavior was unacceptable. We were devastated as we thought we would have to rehome her. It was such a blessing to have found Dog Training Elite! We have had multiple dogs over the years but none was as stubborn as our latest addition! We started with the in home puppy training which was a great foundation for our 10 week old German Shepherd. The puppy training was a good foundation for the basics, but our girl is stubborn so we added the Platinum package, which is 2 weeks in facility, and we could not be more thrilled with the results! Our puppy has made incredible progress on commands such as heel, place, sit and down. Dog Training Elite has helped us understand her behavior, and how to correct her, which has made for a much more relaxed environment for us all. Dog Training Elite has delivered amazing results for us! I cannot thank them enough. The best part is that they truly care about all of their clients (human and canine)!

One of the things that I love about Elite is they are not a “take the money in run”, kind of outfit. They’re in it for the long haul. They don’t just train your dog and wave goodbye, you have a lifetime of support if you need it. When training you they don’t just tell you what to do, they patiently explain every, what, why, when, and how of it, and if you don’t get something they tell you again, and again and again, until finally the lightbulb goes off, as your pup sits patiently at your feet, looking up embarrassed for you, with that “what arent you getting mom, I figured it out in half the time at training this morning?” look. Elite gives you the tool box, with all the tools and then gives you the comprehensive instructions on how to use them, and then a personal demonstration, and then watches you use the tool yourself until you get it right. My dog Bean has improved and continues to improve every day, our morning walks have so much less anxiety, but triple enjoyment. And we look forward to her continued progress. My recent foster and now adopted dog Hopper had some behavioral and confidence issues and i was sent here for training. Josh came out for the evaluation and i have to admit i was skeptical… Boy was i wrong, in five visits he is a totally different dog. Our trainer Kevin corrected his behavior and he has more confidence than ever. He was wary of men but has now come out of his shell. Hopper knocked it out of the park learning all his commands. Hoppers trainer Kevin was lights out teaching him and i his commands and by the end of five weeks was Kevin’s best friend. The saying goes you get what you paid for and i must say it was totally worth it.

We had an incredible experience working with Josh and his amazing team! From day one, it was clear that Josh understands dog behavior, and took the time to get to know our specific needs and challenges. Our dog had been struggling with reactivity and confidence issues, especially in new or stimulating environments. We enrolled her in the day camp program, where we’d drop her off each morning and pick her up in the evening. It was the perfect setup—not only did it give her daily structure and training, but it also provided consistent exposure to new environments and experiences in a safe and supportive way. After a few days, we started to see her stay calm in situations that used to stress her out—like bikes or people walking nearby. Confidence continued to build through the rest of the program, the group sessions on Saturday (highly recommended) and the in-home visits. I was really struggling with 2 puppies that were only 2 months apart. The older puppy is my son's dog, whom I have had since November. On several occasions, he had pulled me down to the ground while taking him outside. With this issue and having a daughter with disabilities, the possibility of me incurring a serious injury was not an option. This was my main reason for taking him for formal training. Josh and Kevin were my 2 trainers for Rocky's training. Rocky is now able to be off leash in a yard with no fence. I live in a very dog friendly neighborhood with many neighbors who are on daily walks and both of my pups are no off leash with no issues of listening to the commands that were taught to me for Rocky that I use on both of them. I have referred several people to get in touch with this wonderful organization. Hands down one of the best investments that I have ever made. A couple of bonuses have been minimal barking (that is quickly corrected), and neither one jumps on company when they come over anymore. Give them a call and talk to them about your concerns with your fur babies.

I am so impressed with Dog Training Elite. We took our 70 pound 18 month old puppy to them because we just needed help. We love our puppy but she is extremely full of energy. She was also experiencing a lot of separation anxiety and was not at all thrilled with delivery men. When she almost ate the wonderful guy from FedEx we decided it was time for help. I did some research and decided to go with Dog Traing Elite. We are so pleased with all they taught the dog and us as well. She just finished up her 2 week all inclusion training and we couldn’t be more happy with the results. We are still going to have 3 home visits and then can have a few drop ins if we need help. on Saturdays they have a group session that you can attend as much as you want too. Having had two previous pups I thought this girl would be easily trained by me. That was not so. My three year old Aussie went through their in person Platinum Elite Training Camp, she is dealing with a lot of reactivity and aggression and the whole team has made such an impact on her. Kevin, Andrea and Dennis were all so helpful with my dog Nova’s training, and mine! Nova is very selective with the people she likes and she gets excited whenever she sees any of the team from Dog Training Elite. I know we will have support when needed in the future and really look forward to ongoing group classes to help keep Nova properly socialized, obedient and happy.

We were referred to Dog Training Elite Greater Cleveland because of their expertise with rescue dogs and their support after formal training. We rescued our 3 year-old Golden Retriever from a puppy mill breeder and struggled with basic obedience training. Her lack of socialization was causing behavioral issues, and we needed help ASAP. We decided to enroll her in their 2-week camp, and we are thrilled with her progress! Before training, we were anxious about taking her outside, but just three weeks after camp, we're visiting parks and even letting her off-leash. Her leash reactivity has significantly improved, and we continue attending weekly group classes to further progress. We're incredibly grateful for the team's support and ongoing help!
