McCall did an incredible job training our 4-month-old doodle, Peaches! She taught our pup all the basic commands, sit, come, lay down, off, and up, and our favorite, “place”! Peaches now knows how to stay in her place, even when we walk away, until we give the release command, “break.” It’s been a game-changer! McCall also introduced “calm stops,” helping Peaches learn how to regulate her emotions. I can’t say enough about how much she taught not just our dog, but us as owners! Every day, she provided clear breakdowns of what Peaches learned, what to practice, and always asked, “What else? What else came up? What else do you need help with?” She’s incredibly attentive, thorough, and supportive. We’re so excited to continue with in-home sessions! Peaches has learned so much, and so have we!

Update 9/16/25 They are still the best, was having issues with leash pulling while on hikes, Jeff met me on a hiking trail and really helped me get that under control. Our first week of puppy boot camp has been amazing. Poppy (our mini dachshund) is learning so much every day during training but also able to do it when we practice with her at home in the evenings. I was worried the training wouldn’t translate but I’m so glad with the owner training I receive each day as I pick her up. Poppy is exhausted each day and I worried she might resist going back but no, she is anxious to get back each morning and snuggle her new favorite person, her trainer McCall! I love how they interact and how wonderful McCall is with her, and I’m sure every dog she works with. I’ll be honest, I put off her last home visit for over a week because I was scared that she wasn’t going to make the cut for the next phase. During that time I increased a lot of the learned tools and skills in a variety of environments. Yesterday when Jeff came for her final visit to teach her the last command, it was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life! She just knew what to do. I think she feels really safe around Jeff and she even took his feedback to heart when she tried to nip me. Bailey is going to keep kicking butt, and we are so freaking excited to start school with everyone else!

SO KIND!! and very helpful!!! Obi started with his prong collar, which made a HUGE difference when taking him on walks! He has a solid heel with it. I can be "hands free" when walking him! And It really helped with his reactivity. We also did the puppy Obidence classes, which I highly recommend. They help your pup learn to behave around other dogs and also give you training ideas on ways to make their Obidence even better! And the trainers always help if your pup struggles with any of the commands or situations. (Like if your dog gets startled by noices or things) Even if you don't do the service dog training at minimum, do the puppy Obidence classes , the training is FABULOUS and EFFECTIVE!! Obi just recently got his e-collar, and he's amazing!! It's a HUGE step up from how he was. Some people may not love the idea of the e-collar. However, it is so EFFECTIVE at communicating with your dog, even at a distance. When I let my pup off leash, I am more comfortable with it because I know I can still communicate with my pup even when there is a lot of distance between us or even other distractions. And honestly, (speaking from experience) people who complain about using e-collars or even other training tools don't have well-behaved dogs. Or don't fully understand how to use them properly. This is why DTE helps you understand fully how to properly use the tools! Again, the e-collar is a great TOOL as long as you use it correctly. And the trainers 100% know the correct way to use it, making it one of the best tools!! My pup also loves when the trainers come over for the in home appointments. They are all really great with him. He learns so much from them in just the hour they are there! They really make all the training for a service dog easy to comprehend because of the broken up steps that just make it not so stressful or overwhelming. Because it is a lot of work. But with the right trainers (DTE!!!!) you will find the whole process easier and not overwhelming!!! WOULD 100% RECOMMEND!!!

Jeff was amazing with Dexter!!! 2 1/2 weeks ago Dexter broke a toe on his right front paw, the vet orders were Dexter stays in his crate other than to go to the bathroom. He seemed to have lost all his training skills and was out of control for being in his crate 24/7. Dexter is 6 months old Doberman that weighs 100lbs. Jeff came into my home and showed me how to stimulate dexters brain to tire him out. Works great!!! Jeff is a great trainer, thank you Jeff!!!!

Bailey loved Meggie! It was just about love at first sight. Bailey is still a puppy and is learning to be comfortable with all kinds of strangers. I am happy to say Meggie was just the thing Bailey needed today!

Jeff gave us confidence that the training program will work for our lab! His attitude was very positive, and, after he demonstrated some behaviors with his own dog and showed us the collar used, we felt sure this was the right place for Ruby! We like the combination of at-home and in class training and the option for spot checks and help down the road. McCall always made us feel as though Ruby was her absolute favorite. Dallin came to our home for a training session, and I’m amazed with the amount of training that we could cover in the time he was here! Luna is so smart and does a great job when she has a focus, but she is our most anxious dog by far! Just seeing her reactions to noises in our home, he was able to suggest and practice some things to help build confidence. He gave us so many suggestions on how to help her through firework season, I’m really excited to help her feel calmer during those really big stresses! Dallin took us on a walk, and was not only able to help with Luna’s confidence while walking, but mine too! In just a short walk down the street and some practice, there was a significant difference in how Luna reacted to other dogs! We’ve been struggling to keep Luna’s muzzle on, but Dallin helped us work through the big issues! Thank you so much DTE, and Dallin for all you’ve done for us! We are so excited to see her continual growth!!

Great experience with Dog Training Elite! McCall was the handler with our American Akita for two weeks. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about dogs. Dog Training Elite were wonderful trainers and I would recommend them to anyone who loves their dog. Our little one year old miniature Shih Tzu weighs 4.2 pounds and we were scared that he might not get the help he needed. And, it seemed very expensive to us. BUT, not only did he get the best help but the price now seems very reasonable for what we have gained. I highly recommend this training to anyone who wants their dog trained. These people LOVE dogs and it shows!!

Dallin has worked wonders for pup! Dwayne has come so far and continues to improve every session and every group class! I was skeptical of the group class at first because our dog had some reactivity issues, but after 4 classes with Dallin, Meggie and Jeff- we have seen a world of difference! Dallin listens to what is important to us (like taking our dog on trails, etc) and he brought Matilda tonight and we were able to have the best little hike with them both while working on skills!

My dog Kilo just completed the first step of a lifelong journey with Dog Training Elite (DTE). He had the opportunity to be worked with at the Sandy facility with his amazing trainer McCall and her team. Upon pick-up, the trainers work with you as the dog parent to learn the skills and techniques to practice on our own. Training with DTE is truly the last one you will ever need as a dog parent. The habits/changes my dog has learned from the first day to the immense growth he has demonstrated two full weeks later has me MIND BLOWN. I URGE you to reach out to DTE to schedule a consultation, We reached out to DTE after spending $3500 on a training course through another local training company which left us feeling stuck and not hopeful. We picked the at home lessons along with life long group classes. It is a BANG for your BUCK. Every group class is organized well and the trainers are happy to help guide you through the struggles. We started training with a reactive and timid Rottweiler. But the growth that our pup has shown from our first lesson to now is miraculous. The E-Collar has been a blessing as well and has saved our dog from bad situations. We owe our deepest gratitude to Jeff and the team members at dog training elite. Jeff saved our sanity and has transformed our daily life with BAMF for the better. I could not recommend this place more.

Been doing PTSD service dog training with them for almost a year and it's been nothing short of amazing! Everyone is super friendly and caring and it's been a breeze to work with them! I started on the gold star training program when my pup turned 1 and suddenly forgot all the training I taught her(aka turned into a stubborn teenager). They helped me navigate and understand her body language and behaviors and it's the best investment I made! We've enjoyed the group classes at Fairmont Park too!
