Pauline has been amazing training our Sheltie puppy Fin. She helped us and stayed very flexible with our crazy schedule along the way! Fin was able to learn basic commands in a timely manner and Pauline was always very patient and kind with Fin. Can’t recommend her enough!! She’s very knowledgeable and good with dogs and with dog training.

Paulina, Jaime, and Grace are amazing ladies! They were so patient with Benny as he was very anxious attending facility classes. Hes been so much better with his obedience, behavior, and commands. He loves classes as much do I. The classes are so much fun, Benny is tired after class. I love how the girls change it up every weekend with different challenges. They put in a lot of hard work, love, and effort in Benny. Appreciate you all!

My 7yo dog and I have worked worked with several trainers through out the years, and the group at DTE in Naperville has been my favorite. They really listened to what it is my dog and I were looking to get out of the training and work so that their program fit our situation! Grace does a phenomenal job listening f to the owners and reading the dog during the one on one session!! Cannot wait to go join the group classes.

We found DTE after looking for additional training support when one of our dogs attacked our other dog. It was a beyond stressful experience for us, but when I first reached out to DTE, the owner (Katie) was so kind and patient and empathic as I shared our concerns and she shared the training options. We just completed the in-home training program with Grace, and are looking forward to starting the group component. Grace has also been extremely kind and understanding. She is extremely knowledgeable and always ready to answer our questions and provide any additional direction. We are so grateful for Grace's help and guidance, and our dog has shown incredible growth in terms of his response to our commands. Our deepest thanks to Grace and DTE

We love going to the group classes they offer. We had a great time Saturday in downtown Naperville walking the river walk. It was a great teaching lesson for Holly with all the people and distractions that were around. Holly is doing so well with the training she gets from Pauline, Grace and Jamie. At almost one year old we are so pleased at all she has learned. 5 Stars all around!

We reluctantly decided to try e-collar training after not having the success we desired with only positive reinforcement methods and we are SO glad we did. Our very yappy and reactive miniature dachshund is well on her way to being the pet we always knew she could be. After a very pleasant and informative initial interview with Pauline we decided to proceed with DTE. Grace and Pauline helped us understand and debunk our misconceptions regarding using e-collars. Our in home sessions were with Grace who's patience and incredible knowledge about dogs and training has been amazing. We, Lexi's humans, have been the main training challenge but Grace never made us feel like we were failing. With encouragement and humor she patiently helped train us as much as she did Lexi. We are looking forward to joining the group classes and will update our review as we progress. Thanks DTE for giving us an option that actually worked for our issues! Lexi is quieter and calmer in what used to be embarrassingly chaotic situations. We can't wait to continue this journey with you all!

DTE transformed Glory, my exuberant 5 mos old Irish Wolf Hound puppy! The staff at DTE took in my enormous, clumsy and eager pup with open arms. Among many improvements, she walks nicely (never thought that would happen), she is crate trained (never thought that would happen), and she is a more confident dog (significantly reduced whining). I always wanted a dog who was a pleasure, and because of the whole staff at DTE, I have one! And our family time with Glory is just beginning!

My dog, Scout, completed the two-week day camp at Dog Training Elite Naperville, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Each morning I dropped her off around 8am and picked her up after work around 5:45pm. From day one, she was so excited to go to “school” with her tail wagging, vocal (woo-woo barks), and eager to see her favorite teachers, Pauline, Grace, and Jamie. Scout is a very friendly, eager-to-please “velcro” dog who had a hard time watching me leave at first, but over the two weeks, she gained confidence and independence. The trainers not only reinforced the basics but also introduced new skills. Before camp, Scout was a great dog but tended to be selective about which commands she listened to. Now, I notice the difference instantly. Even on the walk to the car after pick-up, I could start practicing her new skills right away. Walks are smoother, she understands “place,” and she responds so much more consistently. One of the things I really appreciated was how much they involved me in the process. Every day I received report cards, photos, and even personalized videos showing me how to practice commands at home. They also made themselves available by phone whenever I had questions. I felt supported not just during the camp, but in continuing the training afterward. The transformation has been worth every penny. It’s an investment, but for the instant results and the foundation they’ve built for Scout and me, I found it more than fair. Honestly, I almost wish the camp could run in phases (two weeks for basics, a week off, then another two weeks for more advanced skills) because Scout and I are ready for more! If you’re looking for a program where your dog learns, has fun, and comes home happy, balanced, and tired, I can’t recommend Dog Training Elite Naperville enough. And a huge thank you again to Scout’s amazing teachers (Pauline, Grace, and Jamie) for helping us start this journey.

We have just finished our at home classes are excited for group class which will start tomorrow. Grace came out to our home and every class was a success and Sam, my rambunctious 11 month old Labrador was always so excited to see Grace. She was very professional and very friendly. Grace always took the time to answer all my questions and helped out with a couple concerns I had with Sam. He learned quickly and is always excited to work. Dog Training Elite has very knowledgeable owners and trainers and I’m so very happy to have them to work with me and my dog. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with them and they are worth every penny. Also of note, they always respond in a very timely manner whenever you need to text with questions, concerns or scheduling times.

I am so so glad I found dog training elite! I rescued my dog Finn and he was having a lot of separation anxiety, having some accidents, and needed some formal training. He has been enrolled with dog training elite for the last week and there’s already been such an improvement! Pauline and Grace have been so kind, compassionate, and informative about his progress! You can tell how much all the staff loves working with these pups! Finn is excelling and the separation anxiety is much improved! I get daily updates, pictures, and instructions on what to work on at home. It is truly a team effort and they are always willing to answer any questions. 5 stars is not enough for this exceptional group! Thank you dog training elite!

She learned so much and I was given updates every day. Now that she completed the camps, we get to participate in weekly group classes to keep up with her training! The entire staff has built a relationship with my dog! I cannot say enough amazing things about them. Highly recommend!

Please PLEASE do yourself a favor and give Dog Training Elite a call for all your dog training needs. They were highly flexible with my work schedule and always answered my questions. Pauline, Jamie, and Grace are all AMAZING to work with. Informative, professional, and very kind. You can tell these trainers love what they do, and do it well! They all handled my 2 year old female Mal-Shep mix with ease. I swear I picked up a different, more well trained dog each day of her training! Extremely clean facility and seamless communication between all the trainers. When it came to our homework, I was provided a personalized video of the trainer and my dog working on the current assignment AND a fully written assessment on what my dog excelled at and what she still needed to work on. Empathetic and Professional Trainers: The trainers were incredibly empathetic and professional. They took the time to understand Cooper's unique personality and tailored the training to suit his needs. Their approach was gentle yet firm, ensuring Cooper felt comfortable and secure throughout the day. Comprehensive Training: The program was comprehensive, covering all the essential commands like sit, down, come, place and heel. The use of the e-collar was explained thoroughly, and I was reassured that it would be used responsibly and humanely. The trainers provided detailed instructions on how to continue the training at home, which was incredibly helpful. Remarkable Progress: Cooper showed remarkable progress after just a few days. His responsiveness to commands improved significantly, and he seemed more confident and well-behaved. The e-collar was a great tool in reinforcing positive behavior without causing any distress. DTE is absolutely amazing! We signed our puppy, Hank, up for two puppy camps and the platinum training package and have no regrets doing so. The facility is clean, open, and easy to get to. The staff is SUPER friendly while also being professional. You can tell the trainers truly care about your dog’s well-being and comfort. Pauline and Grace have given Hank so much love that when we bring him to “school” he can’t wait to go inside! He is picking up all of his ques and commands very well. If you are a busy person who doesn’t have the time to dedicate personally training your dog, this place is perfect for you.

I found Dog Training Elite through a google search & I am so glad that I did. We worked with Grace and she was truly phenomenal. We just finished 5 in home visits and I am shocked by how much our dogs behavior has improved. Thanks to Grace's clarity and patience, our dog picked up each lesson quickly and it stuck with her. Let me tell you that my jaw dropped in our last session when our normally reactive dog stayed put outdoors while other dogs paraded around her. I never saw I'd see the day! I should also mention that our dog seems genuinely excited to have learned so much. We are very excited to start the group lessons and build on everything that Grace has taught us. I could not recommend them more!

DTE has been a god-send! They are so incredibly sweet and so hard working. They came to my house to give a free evaluation and we began my dog's advanced obedience training promptly after. They are incredibly accommodating to people with disabilities who are working toward getting their dogs trained as service dogs. My dog used to struggle with aggression towards other dogs after we were both attacked by another dog, but now she is doing great with other dogs (she is still not the biggest fan, but she is less reactive). DTE is always open to answering questions, providing advice, and working on new skills catered to the dog and handler's needs. Such incredibly kind and hardworking staff! If you are looking for affordable service dog and obedience training, this is the place to do it!

I am working through their service dog training program and it has been incredibly easy for me to understand and implement the skills that they teach my dog and I. I used DTE to help me train my German Shepard. He was my first dog ever and I had no idea what I was doing but I was committed to learning and knew I wanted to give him the best so we could enjoy each other and I wouldn’t have a huge dog that was hard to control. I also decided to give the scent and service dog program a try in order to train him as a gluten detection dog for my celiac. I loved how helpful Katie was when I originally reached out and spent a lot of time explaining the process and they evaluated my dog to make sure he would be a good fit. This also included basic obedience training as well. I loved that I didn’t have to send my dog away for weeks or months either and allowed me a more hands on process with training my dog which I think was a huge help. When you sign up you automatically have the group classes for life. These are really great for us and helps my dog learn to be around other dogs in a safe environment where I have help from all the amazing trainers since I really had no idea how to go about socializing my big dog in a safe way. I am so happy I invested my time and money here! It was worth it!! So much better than programs where you send your dog away for 2 weeks and get them back. All the trainers are so amazing and as someone who knew nothing prior to this I now have a dog who can pick up gluten scent and we’re on our way to service dog status!

We chose Dog Training Elite because they do e-collar training, which is a really great communication tool for our stubborn Great Pyrenees. We did the 7-day training camp with trainer Pauline and noticed an improvement after day 1 in our dog’s recall. We’ve also been able to better manage her leash reactivity. The group classes are fun and engaging, and they host them at different locations around the area. All of the trainers are awesome - patient and sweet with the dogs and always willing to answer questions. We will 100% be using Dog Training Elite for any future dogs we get!

Our dog didn't play well with others. If another dog showed any interest she responded by lunging, barking, and generally being out of control. Not only was this embarrassing, it was unsafe. She nearly caused my son to fall as she dashed to get other dog. Prior to working with Dog Training Elite, we tried two different trainers. Both relied exclusively on positive reinforcement and neither was able to change our girl's behavior. While this approach works with a lot of dogs, it wasn't helpful for us. We found the combination of e-collar training coupled with treats and praise to be very effective. I couldn't be happier with the results.Also, I'm a fan of the Saturday morning group classes. The opportunity to interact with other dogs has made ours much more relaxed. Although she's still a work in progress, she's so much better and safer now.

We are extremely pleased with Dog Training Elite in Naperville! We had our initial consultation in our home with Tim and Grace and their dog! We were very impressed on the training method they use with the Easy Educator collar. Our 9 month old boxer was in need of discipline and Gunner is doing fantastic! Five one hour private in home sessions and 12 one hour lessons teaching healing etc! The cost is well worth having a happy dog with happy owners too!

Tim and Katie, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the training Charlie has received from your program. You have shown me how to train him so he knows I am in charge and he is so much more confident and happy, partly because you have shown me how not to be frustrated. I was so pleased by the results at Dog Training Elite in Naperville! As a first time dog owner I needed all the help I could get when it came to my 10 month old Golden Retriever. The trainers at the facility were so helpful and friendly! After each day they provided me with videos and homework sheets to teach me how to work with my dog and the skills he learned each day! Pauline's videos made it easy to understand exactly what I needed to do - she was the best! I can't wait to start group training classes soon! Thank you Dog Training Elite!!!

Tim and Katie are the ultimate dog trainers! My Quinn’s behavior has improved dramatically since we trained there. They came to my home annd eventually we did location tests at various stores and locations. And this is a Western Chicago location but I love that now, no matter where I move, I can find another location and join them for weekend group training for free. My dog is now my certified service dog. She knows when she’s “on the job” and is so excited to wear her vest. Thank you Katie and Tim!

We adopted a lab mix from a shelter and after a few weeks, the female dog became dominant and bossy. After 2 weeks of this behavior, my wife and I decided it was either time to rehome the dog or hire a professional to help. Tim and turned our little monster into a great puppy who enjoys training and working to become a better dog. I would consider them friends and they really care for our dog and our family. Great facilities and they come to your house if need be!

Dog Training Elite has been amazing every step of the way with my son's service dog. This training has been a lifesaver for having my mini bernedoodle listen to me. Walking with her is now a joy. Also, it did not take long for her to learn the come and stay commands in a yard without a fence. It was so convenient and worth every minute spent practicing. Also, the follow up training practice is great for group work and review of skills learned. I would definitely recommend Tim and Katie for training. They are very knowledgeable on what practices work.

Ms Katie and Ms Pauline are absolutely incredible! So much care and love in their work. They transformed my crazy pup to a manageable good girl! I brought my puppy to start training as a service dog for the initial 7 day drop-off training. He learned a lot and did really well there and he does great at home also. He’ll start the group training classes next. He LOVED going there, was so excited going to the door and was also very excited when he went in and saw the trainers and owners. Pauline did a fantastic job with him in his training and I would recommend them to everyone. They took really good care of him while he was there and even kept his lunch feeding schedule while he was in class. Pauline is an exceptional trainer and I look forward to having him train with her in his future classes.

Pauline did such a great job with Harlies (my dog) training! She makes you feel so comfortable when discussing your pups progress and you can tell she genuinely cares about the success of your dogs training. I love that we went with them for our dogs training and cannot wait for the group classes!!

If I could give more than five stars I would! My experience with Dog Training Elite has been incredible thus far. Katie and Pauline have been incredibly kind, thorough and helpful throughout our entire training process! Every morning and evening Pauline has walked me through specific training focuses and how Hendrix,my two year old Newfie,has responded each day. Not only that, but she puts very detailed effort into training write ups & videos so that I can apply what’s been taught each day! They have been so helpful to reference for continued training at home. It can be challenging trusting others with our pets, but Hendrix loves training and spending time with Pauline. I can tell she’s so loved by your team and we are forever grateful for the hard work and help. Can’t wait to continue with group training & additional courses. :)

I have worked with both Katie & Tim. Katie has been our main trainer for 1 on 1 sessions. Our year old Bernese Mountain dog is very loving and a great dog but he’s so big and strong he was impossible to control due to his strength and wanting to just dart & meet everyone he sees. We really needed leash work and for him to control his excitement. He was also less confident in doing some things so they have helped with that too. He walks great on leash now, listens pretty well (for the most part 😂) and is definitely more confident. He went from refusing to step on a raised dog bed to jumping on the concrete round balls you see in front of Target stores!!! He was a very good dog and now he’s a great dog! We also introduced a puppy to our family of the same breed. Katie was always there via text or phone to help with the transition. They are quite accommodating when it comes to continued communication when I needed help. We also began some puppy training WITH our older dog so they were in a more comfortable environment together and learning at the same time. This helped all of us to understand each dogs needs as well. I highly recommend them for any/all of your dog training needs. They are very educated in numerous areas of training and they’ve helped our family tremendously.

Our experience with Elite has been wonderful. Our 10 month old Cavapoo has been learning so much and continues to learn. It has been nothing but enjoyable with my puppy Frisco. He is doing amazing and I'm so proud of him. I appreciate everything Tim has done. Thank you so much!!!!!

I am endlessly thankful that I chose Dog Training Elite for Maiseys training. Katie and Tim are kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They listened to my concerns and tailored their approach to suit my anxious dog. If you are looking for basic training for a puppy or even extended training for an older dog like mine, I cannot recommend them enough.

Katie and Tim have done an amazing job helping me with the transition to adding a service animal to my family, the continued obedience training and the service training! The group classes have been a great asset to the training structure as they provide training in a distracted environment...it has really helped Scout (and myself) learn to focus on each other and not outside activity. In addition, Katie and Tim have been very helpful each time I had a question or felt like I needed a modification that was specific to my family. I would highly recommend Dog Training Elite-Western Chicago!

We are so happy with the training and support we received from Tim and Katie! The one-on-one in-home support was great and they are so responsive. The group classes are great for practicing and enhancing the skills taught. Our dog was so reliant on treats the he would steal and guard an item (growl and snap) just to get a treat. It was a seemingly never ending cycle. While we never thought we’d be open to a e-collar, the stimulation is really very low and effective. The first days were rough, trying to get our dog used to the collar and new commands. He was stubborn and very reserved during that time, but with some continued work he got used to the training and continues to respond well even when we have to take the collar off. Tim and Katie also include additional basic training for our 5 year old dog that he did not receive during his puppy training classes from another company. We use his new training all the time now. The implied stay is something we never knew was even possible! (Just have to remember to use the release word!) We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the training especially with young children in the house! Thank you, Tim and Katie!

Katie and Matt have been fabulous. I thought I did not need a trainer but realized I did if I wanted to have our new Weimaraner pup advanced in his obedience instead of waiting 5 years for him to mellow out. After just four one-on-ones, I am confident of having him well-behaved at home and in public. He recently showed how excellent his training was during a block party. Screaming kids and food all around, and he stayed on his place cot. I interviewed a lot of trainers, but none were are credible as Katie. She is honest and engaging with owners and gentle yet firm with pups. She knew how to engage Oliver, and he never seemed stressed. If you are uncertain about what trainers to engage, look no further. The one-on-one classes are tremendous and outdoor group classes extremely effective in reinforcing the training. I could not be happier. I know people who are training their dog for the fourth time. The reasons are clear. They did not have the essentials in the mix. You need two things 1) a great trainer and 2) regular reinforcement. Katie and Matt are committed to being the only trainer I will ever need. I believe it!

Tim and Katie are fantastic! Our dog would always bark and jump on our guests as they would enter our home. It was so stressful to have friends over. Now our dog is trained to sit quietly and allow our guests to enter! I would highly recommend them!

Wow! DTE Western Chicago! Give them a call! Don't wait! Katie and Tim will teach you skills that are invaluable! In only 5 weeks my once reactive dog is no longer growling, lunging, and showing teeth. Instead, he's much calmer and listening to my commands. It's life-changing!

Hi, I’m Katie! I grew up in the Southwestern Chicago suburbs and have always loved dogs. Before my husband and I decided to open up our own Dog Training Elite, I was a high school science teacher in the Chicago suburbs. We have grown our family in the area and love the community! We have always had dogs, and love to be out with our pups. Our dogs are a major part of our family, and really complete us with the love and companionship they provide. There are so many dog friendly areas in Chicagoland, and we love to bring the whole family when we go out. I have loved teaching and coaching, and look forward to helping improve families' lives with their dogs.

Hi, I’m Tim. I grew up in the Southwestern Chicago Suburbs, and love the community. Before my wife and I decided to open our own Dog Training Elite, I was an educator in the Chicago suburbs. Dogs provide us with love, companionship, and so many amazing services. Our family, 3 kids, and 2 dogs, loves going out and doing all sorts of different activities together. I look forward to helping you create a better connection with your dog and help to provide our community with some wonderful pets and service dogs.

Pauline has always been passionate about animals and is enthusiastic about dog training. She has two daughters and two dogs; a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bernedoodle. In her free time she enjoys a good book, crafting, and visiting new places with her family.
Dogs have always been a big part of Pauline's life. Whether they were her own or a family member's dog, she has made close connections with them throughout the years. Pauline has always enjoyed helping people, and dog training has allowed her an opportunity to not only train, but to help people make deeper connections with their dogs. She has completed basic through advanced training at DTE. She is currently a Premier Service Dog Trainer certified, and continues her education in scent based service dogs.

I grew up with dogs and have always loved animals, but my passion for dogs developed when I took a summer job during college as a dog daycare and boarding attendant. I loved spending time with the dogs and getting to know their personalities and breed characteristics, but I was often frustrated by their lack of obedience and manners. This led me to pursue a career in dog training at the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers (TRS) after graduating from college. At TRS, I trained a malinois puppy and my personal dog, a small munsterlander, in competitive obedience, agility, tracking, scent detection, and the AKC’s CGC test. After graduating from TRS, I moved to Illinois and took a job as a trainer at a dog daycare facility where I worked for 3 years before I found Dog Training Elite. I’ve enjoyed helping clients understand their dogs better, and I’ve learned so much from the various dogs, clients, and other trainers I’ve worked with. I truly look forward to learning more as my career progresses.
In my free time, I love being outside, trying new foods, working and pheasant hunting with my dog Dreya, and spending time with friends and family.
