We have worked to build a team of trustworthy local dog trainers that reflect our values and possess the necessary skill and qualities that strengthen our mission and advance our unique training model.
We provide comprehensive, generous support to our clients and balanced, sustainable dog training in Louisville to every dog we work with. We genuinely love what they do and aim to build a community for our clients that love their dogs just as much as we do. We are a professional, family owned Louisville-based dog training company with over 40 years of experience that specializes in strengthening the bond between your dog and your family, with a strong emphasis on teaching your dog the highest level of obedience, despite even the toughest level of distractions. Our Louisville dog training programs are certain to meet all of your training needs. Unlike a lot of other dog training companies, we understand that each client has different needs, so we tailor our dog training programs to accommodate your unique situation. Dog Training Elite Central Kentucky also trains service animals and dogs ready to volunteer in the community as therapy dogs and companions to those with special needs. Our Balanced Theory
We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. In its simplest form (after proper conditioning), when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking about it. Our unique techniques ensure our program is a success no matter what behavior we encounter.

Can.t say enough good things about my trainer Tom. He is very professional and great with my dog. Very knowledgable about my breed and what we needed to do to get Willow so we know how to handle her in every situation. I would highly recommend dog training elite to anyone needing help with their pup or dog! Tom worked with my 16 month old, 100 lb chocolate lab, Kole, and after just ONE one-on-one session he stopped jumping on people. We just finished our 5th and final one-on-one session and he’s a completely different dog! Tom was super patient and gentle with him and Kole was always excited to see him. I’ve been around dogs all my life , but let me tell you these guys are the real deal. My wife and I have a yellow Lab after losing our silver one to old age . And this pup is 11 months old and 101lbs !! I needed help with training!! Called these guys and they came to our house and did a demo and met our Duke . We were really impressed by their professionalism and love for dogs . Along with the understanding of we wanted out the training. Tom who works with Duke and us as well is top notch . I highly recommend this company and the meet and greet along with the demo is free. But our Duke is a completely different dog now thanks to Dog Training Elite.. Thank you so much!— Jeffery Smith

Tom is an amazing trainer. He comes to your house which is so convenient. Just 4 sessions so far and our puppy has learned to come, sit, place, and heel on command.
