As a dedicated dog trainer, my mission is to empower both dogs and their owners to live their best lives—full of fun, freedom, and mutual respect. I’ve had the pleasure of helping countless families achieve their training goals, whether it’s improving obedience, tackling behavioral challenges, or ensuring their dogs feel confident in all kinds of environments. My approach is centered on creating dogs that are comfortable even in uncomfortable situations, so their handlers can feel proud and confident when out in public.

I’m dedicated to supporting veterans and first responders by providing expertly trained service dogs, empowering them to regain a sense of security and re-engage with society. Recognizing the profound sacrifices these individuals have made for our freedom, leveraging their skills to offer customized training and compassionate support, ensuring each service dog meets the unique needs of its partner. Passionate about giving back to those who have given so much, I will work tirelessly to make a difference, one service dog at a time.

    Tom has been great. Our dog was a drop off rescue that showed that social interaction with other people and dogs had been minimal. The training method appears to suit her well. The at home instruction has been really convenient. The group sessions have been really helpful for her fear and anxiety issues. Today was her second group session and I could sense a noticeable difference. Highly recommend.

    The staff at Dog Training Elite Louisville demonstrated exceptional patience, kindness, understanding, and provided clear instructions that put us at ease throughout the training process, and we're delighted with the progress our dogs are making. Their encouraging approach made the experience enjoyable and left us feeling confident in our newfound skills as we pursued service dog training for one of our dogs and therapy dog training for the other. The group lessons are an effective way to gain confidence using the training skills we learn in individual sessions.     Tom is amazing! We started obedience lessons with my Doberman puppy when she was 4 months old, and she has truly turned into the best dog I could’ve ever ask for. She so well behaved thanks to her training, and I feel so confident teaching her new things and taking her out in public thanks to Tom! (She absolutely ADORES Tom too, you should see her wiggle when she sees his Truck pull in for her lessons.) 10/10 recommend Dog Training Elite and Tom!

    When I got my puppy, Henry, I was hoping to turn him into a service dog, but had no clue where to even start. Tom has been there every step of the way to help us get to that point. Henry will now alert to me on his own, and I know that wouldn’t have been possible without Tom’s expertise. And I have been so impressed with how well thought out the group classes are!     Odie a mini Sheepadoodle has become a favorite with everyone he meets after finding Tom at DTI. Tom is always patient with Odie and me!! You may think “no way” when he tells you what is possible with your dog, but believe him!! We love the group classes and look forward to them. There are many dog trainers to choose from but I highly recommend Tom and this organization!! Life with your dog will go from ok to fabulous!!

    When I adopted my dog from the animal shelter I wasn't sure if she'd ever get along with other dogs or be able to be in a group of dogs without reacting poorly. These classes really helped her learn to be in a group of other dogs without freaking out. Its also helped her learn to listen to me and follow my lead in a situation. She's so much happier and so much more social now!

    We work with Tom at Dog Training Elite Louisville and so far he has been amazing! He is very kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. We have a Standard Poodle puppy named Sonny and we have a long road ahead of us, from puppy training to obedience training to hopefully service or therapy dog training. Tom helped me from the very beginning before we even had Sonny, he informed me on what dog breeds would be best for service dogs and what to look for in a puppy, I am very thankful because of him we were able to find our boy Sonny who we absolutely adore (especially our son who we got Sonny for)! I was nervous as this is the most extensive training I have ever done and I have also never worked with an e-collar, Tom has made this experience very smooth and easy. He makes sure to inform me on everything which makes me feel more comfortable with the whole process. We have only been training for a few months as Sonny is only 18weeks old but we have already seen wonderful results from starting training right away! We have enjoyed working with Tom, and look forward to continue working with him. We are a forever client and highly recommend working with Tom for all your dog training needs!

    Tom has done an amazing job with our 1 1/2 year old mini golden doodle. She and we have learned so much in just a few sessions! Tom is so patient and consistent with her. Our JoJo is now able to loose leash walk, heel and sit on walks only and come on command only after a few sessions. She is so much calmer and more attentive to us. So very impressed and couldn’t be happier!
