Dog Training Elite provides a wide variety of k9 training services in Los Angeles. With both private, in-home training and group-classes and a wide variety of training programs, we have something for everyone (and every k9). Our training method is based on classical conditioning which utilizes positive reinforcement to develop automatic reflexes to certain commands. We also use a safe, non-shocking electronic collar to ensure full attention of your k9 during training sessions. The electronic collar does not shock your k9; it gently vibrates when necessary to regain your dog’s attention. These positive techniques ensure easy training success, a happy relationship with your pet, and positive k9 behavior.
For basic obedience training, we start with in-home training. This allows us to involve all family members in the training process and to address all of your dog’s behavior. Some behaviors occur only in your home - like chasing the cat or mail man. By training in-home, our trainers can observe your k9 in his natural habitat. Once basic commands are covered, your k9 can graduate to group classes where he can learn to remain obedient despite the distraction of strangers and other dogs. This step by step process ensures deep-rooted training.

We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. My Clyde is a timid 9 year old rescue dog. Dog Training Elite showed me you can teach an old dog new tricks.
