By completing our training program in your home, we are better able to understand the underlying causes that may be triggering your dog’s aggression. By eliminating fears and anxieties, we can work with your dog to develop an understanding that aggressive behaviors are unacceptable. We never use punishment in any of our training programs as punishment has been shown to actually increase aggression in dogs. We base our training around the "Classical Conditioning" model (a.k.a. "Pavlovian" or "respondent conditioning"). This includes developing conditioned or automatic reflexes to commands. In its simplest form (after proper conditioning), when the owner says "sit," the dog automatically sits without thinking about it. My Clyde is a timid 9 year old rescue dog. Dog Training Elite showed me you can teach an old dog new tricks.
