I had self trained a dog I had about 40 years ago with great success, but have not attempted any training in years. So when I got a new dog in last December, I tried my hand at training again and found I really did not have the correct technique anymore. I tried using the training service at a pet store, but soon realized that was not working either, so after much research on the internet, I decided to contact Dog Training elite. Rachel contacted me back and we made an evaluation appointment. They showed up on time and I could tell immediately that they were very committed in this job. I was very impressed on the responses they got from our dog. a 100+ pound Belgian Malinois we recently got through a local shelter. worth noting this dog was adopted two times before we got him, and was brought back due to being hyper active. On the evaluation day, they were not only able to handle him well but actually were able to get him to start paying attention to commands given. We decided to hire Rachel and Daniel to help train our dog. I will have to say you do need to pay attention to what they say and do you part in helping to train your dog. We did our part and within 4 months, our dog was calm and payed attention to the commands given. We were so impressed with this outcome, we decided to go the next step and get him certified as a Service Dog and then started the training for the Task we needed him to preform. with Daniel and Rachel's help and guidance, we were able to complete this in less then two months. I have to say that Rachel and Daniel are very committed to dog training and extremely knowledgeable in this area. They know how to handle dogs and communicate to their owners. I researched this facility after my neurologist and therapist agreed my needs required a service dog. Getting the dog was one thing. Training him? Another thing. Due to some medical issues, Cyno had to be quarantined from the public. Cyno started to be a lot to handle with puppy energy. Nibbling, chasing our cats, barking at people wearing hats (weird trigger, I know) disobedience, nervousness, seperation anxiety, etc. I was completely worried he was not cut out to be a service dog. We brought Cyno to DTE West Houston. Jan has been working with us and within TWO weeks of obedience, I have a completely different dog. We were given homework each day to strengthen skills with Cyno. Jan answered any questions, no matter how small or dumb I thought they might be. Jan answered with utmost patience and understanding. It's not just the dog who needs training. A human also needs to be trained just as well as their dog to be keep up the good work the trainers put in! Cyno is now more confident, well behaved and interested in his work. My cats are chill with Cyno now. He's a completely different dog from before DTE. I have no doubts now that he's cut to be a service dog. From service dog to companion dog, i have no doubts DTE West Houston can help. And I am super glad they exist honestly. Without them, I don't think my boy would be as wonderful as he is without their guidance and help.

We adopted a rescued Chihuahua, Lynda, from Mutts and Meows. We were told she was the longest resident no one wanted her because she was what Mutts and Meows said skittish and not social. This was far from the truth this girl was filled with fear from abuse and probably from a man. However we were not going to let her go back and live in fear. Looking at our options we chose to try a trainer, we choose, Dog Training Elite West Houston and it was the best decision we could have made. The very first home visit, Alex had this girl calm, we could get a harness and leash on her, we were able to walk her, was able to touch Lynda and we could pet her, before Alex, we could not even get close to her or she would run and hide anywhere and anyway. She was so scared of us and everybody she was so sad. I swear Alex is part dog we were so amazed and impressed over the weeks she has improved 90% she still has a problem with Cliff but Loves Mary Ann and that’s enough for now. We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Alex of (Dog Training Elite West) and the entire staff that helped make the process so easy Lynda is happy, calm, and knows that this is her forever home. Bob is amazing! Our puppy was a poor emaciated rescue in need of love and security and once settled and healthy, was a very rambunctious pup. My Doberman puppy and I have had great success with their training program. The instructors are professional dog trainers with an incredible amount of patience and experience with all types of dogs. My 8 month Doby is now 56lbs and I'm 5'1. Without their help I would not be able to walk my dog without being dragged by her, she's can already over power me, but she doesn't. Highly recommend their dog training services.

I was so overwhelmed trying to find a trainer for my Canne Corso puppy Lola. It didn't feel right to go to a "board and train" leaving my baby with strangers and letting them train her. I'm so glad I went with Dog Training Elite. Rachel and Daniel are the real dog whisperers! My puppy was totally OUT OF CONTROL. In no time Lola was more obedient and calm... I could actually have people over without having to put her away.. our walks stopped being stressful and EMBARRASSING like they were before ( Lola was basically walking ME!!) DTE has been an amazing help for our rescue dog. From the first at home visit, we knew that the trainer, Alex, would be great for helping our dog with aggression issues and socialization. The one on one, at home training sessions that occur before group training give a perfect foundation and ample time for practice before joining group training sessions. Alex brought one of his dogs, Delta, who is immaculately well trained, to our house for our last at-home session to help socialize our dog and practice being around other dogs in as low-stress an environment as possible. We have really enjoyed the sense of community with group training each week and have seen wonderful changes in our dog's temperament and socialization. After a stray dog attack shortly after we adopted him, we feared he would never be able to be near other dogs, but he has many friends now that he happily sniffs and interacts with. I cannot recommend DTE highly enough!

I highly recommend Dog Training Elite North East! I had a 12 week old, stubborn dominant Dobie when Rachel entered our lives. We began with Puppy Training and had great results, in spite of my husband and myself. At that time I found out that they also did Service Dog Training, which is what I needed. Rachel has done wonders with my Stubborn baby. She has never let either of us give up especially when I didn’t think Zoe or myself were ever going to be able to finish this course. As I said before we were dealing with a very stubborn animal, Rachel is always kind but firm when it was necessary and genuinely loves “her” babies. I am so very pleased at what Zoe is able to do now, on command. I have no doubt that Zoe will be a certified service dog in the next few months. If you are the least bit interested in having your baby trained, at any level, I cannot recommend Rachel or her equally awesome husband Daniel highly enough.

My Dobby (Dobbs, Dobbykins, Dobbinator) used to be one of those dogs that when he visited a place, folks would be like, "Oh good Lord...." He would also dart out of the door whenever I opened it and shoot off down the neighborhood. The closer I got to him, the further he ran. He pretty much did whatever he wanted and I just took it. It frustrated me to no end. He was definitely the alpha in our relationship. BUT...... ALL that has changed! Thank God to DOG TRAINING ELITE of NORTH EAST HOUSTON (DTE of NEH). With their tailored approach and super knowledgeable insight on dog psyche and, to be frank, some human psyche, Dobby and I have made a complete turn-around. Where we were headed to a stressful relationship filled with bad feelings, we now are calm, happy to share space and even enjoy crowed public outings. He stays right by my side always! I never fail to hear at least 3 times, during those outings, what a well mannered dog I have. I ALWAYS, in turn, share exactly who changed our lives, DTE of NEH. I am so grateful. Sincerely, if you follow their instructions to the letter, it can make a difference in your life, too. I made the mistake, in the beginning, of not following the instructions, JUST ONE SIMPLE RULE. Work with your dog at least 15 min a day. It makes a difference in a successful outcome. Don't waste your money if you can't make that commitment. When I finally followed that rule, is when everything changed for me and Dobbs. He is no longer the Dobbinator of happy thoughts, but, in fact, my sweet cuddly Dobbykins. My Louis is a 3 y/o Frenchie with extreme level 10 anxiety, high risk of elopement, and is aggressive to all other dogs, no matter their size. I had tried other trainers with no success breaking his Extreme behaviors, but Rachel has turned him around! She was patient, informative and very knowledgeable with us! Louis has a list of behaviors that he has improved on, And I finally feel I can enjoy being out of the house with my little man 🐶 and be around other dogs too.

I recommend Dog Training Elite North East Houston to anyone and everyone that will listen. They have been able to work with my 7yr old Yorkie that acts out and timid, and turn him into a very confident dog that loves to learn and be obedient! They are very kind and professional and make sure you get the adequate time you need for you and your pup! Talia provided great guidance in one on one classes and in group classes and Alex provided me with the tools that I needed to work with my pup. As he grew he learned to trust me and he loves his job. He is only 10 months old and passed his public service test 2 months ago. He is always working, even when he is playing! He makes it a point to sniff me to make sure that my blood sugars are ok. He invades my person space often to check to see if he smells a high or a low blood sugar and when he does he is tapping my thigh to let me know that something is wrong. Then he does a great job of letting me know before if it is a high or a low blood sugar. Amazing what that little nose can do! He is always searching for me to make sure that he knows that I am ok and when I am not, he is quick to alert. He is the most behaved, well tempered dog that I have and I know it is because of the one on one training that we received. I am very appreciative and I highly recommend using dog training elite Houston.

Daniel is very knowledgeable. I own a rescued German Shepard that has anxiety issues that prevented him from being socialized. With Daniel’s help, my dog Carver, has made a ton of progress towards overcoming his anxieties.

Rachel and Daniel (Elite Dig Training) are miracle workers! I have a deaf boxer and a GSP. They were horrible! They chewed up everything they could get a hold of, pillows, sofas, staircases. We’ve had other dogs in the past that we had no problem training, but it seemed impossible to train these two. In fact, we had taken them to other trainers and were turned away because they were “untrainable”. We were ready to rehome both dogs, but then Rachel and Daniel came to our rescue. They first came to meet the dogs and show us some helpful tips and to see them in action. Our dogs we then dropped the dogs off with Rachel and Daniel for a 2 week boot camp. During boot camp we revived videos and pictures along the way. When our pups came home they were amazing. It’s been several months since they have been home, and not only do they listen to our commands, they are still the most amazing, lovable dogs but now they listen to us. No more chewing up the house .no more fighting over food. In fact, when it’s time to eat, we tell them to sit and lay down (using hand commands for the deaf dog) and the obey and don’t start eating until we say “go”. No more jumping on everyone that comes thru the front door. No more peeing all over guests (out of excitement). No more crying when they go in their kennels. Before Rachel and Daniel, when we would leave the house and out them in.their kennels, we would get calls from neighbors out of concern because they would cry at the top of their lungs. Before Rachel and Daniel when we would try to take them for walks we couldn’t make it more than 10 ft because they would buck like a bulls right out of the gate. Now we are able to go on daily walks. Rachel and Daniel, thank you for all time and care you put into our pups. You are truly miracle workers!!

I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but thanks to Alex and his business I'm slowly getting my life back. It has been nothing short of amazing to have someone so compassionate, devoted, and patient training my dog to be my service animal. I'd had my disability diagnosis for a long time, but I always thought getting my dog trained would be out of my reach. Our trainer, Alex, was superb. When he came out and evaluated our mini Goldendoodle, I wasn’t sure how he could learn to be a service dog in our home. Alex is patient, methodical, and helped train us as well as our dog. Our dog learned so quickly and it was easy for us to practice since everything was in our own environment and with us.

Started training my basset hound puppy with Alex at 4 months and have seen impressive results for such a stubborn breed. At 7 months, my puppy responds to commands and is well socialized. The one-on-one visits are great to get pet owners started training their dogs and the group sessions are perfect for socialization and adding distractions. Would highly recommend for any dog owner looking to help their dog live in a human's world.
