Hailey has worked miracles with our 18month old Golden. I just 4 visits so far she is a much more obedient and we are only begining. She has also trained everyone it the house the right way to communicate with our dog. We can now take walks with no pulling, charging, or jumping up. Best decision we have made. Hailey is the best!

Steven helped us so much with our new puppy! He took time to listen to our needs and was able to guide us through navigating the common new puppy issues like biting, potty training, and crate training with a positive focus. Steven’s calm presence and thoughtful explanations of training protocols created a successful environment for our puppy to learn the basic commands. We started training our Lab Elvis at 7 1/2 weeks the end of June. We were a assigned Hailey as our trainer. We are so comfortable with her and Elvis loves and respects her. She has patience of as saint, explains why we do the things we do during training, and makes the training sessions very enjoyable. I have learned so much already and look forward to our weekly sessions. She reminds us every week to call her if we have any questions or concerns. We are so grateful that we have Hailey to continue to guide us thru this training process. Thank you Elite Dog Trainig for your outstanding program and your amazing staff.

We have had our puppy in the Service Dog Program since he was 10 weeks old. He is now 6 months and is exceeding all our expectations. Hailey has been an awesome partner for us to work with. She knows just what our puppy needs and we feel so fortunate to have her as part of our team. Being able to train your dog in their home environment is a game changer. Every aspect of our experience with DTE Southeast Michigan has been awesome. Hailey was great with our Goldendoodle pup, Maizy. Not only did she help Maizy quickly learn obedience and self-control, she taught us how to continue working with her and tailored her training specifically to our needs with two little ones. My wife and I have never done dog training before and our trainer Steven was extremely patient and informative to help us better understand our dog.
Quick story. After just 2 months of training our 7 month old pitbull mastiff pup did an absolute outstanding job listening to commands and being polite in very intense situations during a local festival. I seriously cannot give enough praises to our trainer.

I am glad I found Dog Training Elite and went with them to help train our puppy. We have been working with them for a couple months now and it has been working very well for a number of reasons. The trainer comes to the home which is, first of all, very helpful. Beyond that, they have an organized system that really gets at the heart of dog behavior, which is not intuitive, at least for people who are new to the dog world. A shout out to Ryann, who is our dog's trainer. She is patient, kind, and we dub her the dog-whisperer. She is entirely knowledgable, effective, encouraging, positive, and truly talented at what she does. Dog training is a process and she has really helped us get used to this new world! Yay!

I can’t say enough great things about Dog Training Elite—and especially our trainer Ryann! She worked with me and my service dog and was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. Ryann not only helped train my dog with patience and expertise, but also took the time to train me so I could feel confident handling my dog in all kinds of real-world situations.
Her approach was clear and consistent, and I could see real progress after every session. Ryann genuinely cares about our success, and it shows in every detail of her work.

We had a wonderful experience with Dog Training Elite. From the start, they came out and met with us and our pup in person and free of charge. They offered different training programs based on our needs. We did six weeks of private training and it was worth every penny. Steven was our primary trainer and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again. He was great with our dog and patient with my husband and I. He helped us navigate various challenges with our dog but also interactions between our five year old and dog. Highly recommend Dog Training Elite!

This experience blew away my greatest expectations. My dog is a rescue and was extremely aggressive and very difficult to be restrained. He was always friendly, but prior to the training, he was jumping on people, constantly pulling on walks to the point of hurting himself and he would jump over the backyard fence and take off whenever he got the chance. He was always stressed out and my biggest concern was that he was going to hurt himself or be run over in the street. From the first 1 hour session my dog had completely responded to the training and was actually manageable for the first time. Our trainer, Hailey, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional and helped me whenever and with whatever I needed. Each session was a new skill and we were able to practice while she was with us and then Buddy and I continued to practice throughout the week. I could not be more impressed with Hailey, the company and the program and I HIGHLY recommend this service! This was the best investment I will ever make for Buddy and for my own peace of mind. My dog went from being an adorable menace to a well mannered dog who can now attend family events with children without the fear of anyone being hurt. I have no fear of him running off anymore and if he does, I know I can get him to come back. The only regret I have is that I didn't do this sooner. Do yourself and your dog a favor and get them trained immediately. You will not be sorry!

We are SO happy that we went with Dog Training Elite. Hailey was our trainer and truly changed our dog Walter for the better. His confidence and obedience is immensely improved from when we started our training.
Hailey was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and was available to answer all of our questions even outside of training sessions. She really worked with us to understand our goals for our puppy and modified our training sessions specific to those goals. Truly so happy we were able to work with her and that our little Walter is the best behaved little guy there is.

Dog Training Elite has been an invaluable partner in training our Scout to become a pet therapy dog. The in-home sessions focused on core skills with well thought out strategies personalized to her temperament. The group training brought out her confidence as she mastered commands amidst variable distractions and pressure. Our experience was heightened exponentially by our trainer Steve. He thoroughly explained the why behind the techniques and offered the puppy psychology to bring the concept home. He patiently weaved the lessons and tools into workable blocks which made practice more manageable. Additionally, he made himself available for texts and calls to troubleshoot issues or refresh my memory and adjust our approach.
When we passed our certification exam, he was there to celebrate the accomplishment. I highly recommend Steve, Austin and all the trainers of Dog Training Elite….a magnificent organization making a difference for dogs and their families.

We had an amazing experience with Dog Training Elite and our trainer, Steven! He worked with my German Shepherd, Wolfgang, on obedience training and did a phenomenal job. Steven is not only professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly skilled at explaining techniques clearly and reading both the dog and handler.
What really stood out was his ability to pivot and adjust methods if something wasn’t clicking for us—no ego, just a real dedication to helping us succeed. His confidence and calm demeanor made Wolfgang feel comfortable and engaged, and I felt supported every step of the way.
We just wrapped up our Platinum package and are really looking forward to starting the group classes soon. I highly recommend Steven and Dog Training Elite to anyone looking for effective, personalized dog training!

I owned 4 previous dogs (labs) and trained them myself. But then I rescued a husky mix last April. I walk nearby trails everyday and I was struggling with my dog pulling, launching, and passing people and other dogs. Steven Dennison and Elite have helped me learn tips, tools, and training to allow my dog and I to enjoy our hikes without fear of falling, getting angry at her, having to get way off the trail in the poison ivy and tics when people and dogs pass, etc.. And with this new peaceful structure, my dog is more affectionate and attached to me! Steven was kind, understanding, helpful and positive in working with my dog and I. I am SO grateful!

We have used Dog Training Elite 2x now and find them to be amazing. Both our dogs are mini Australian shepherd poodle mixes and can be a handful. We have had both Austin and Hailey as Trainers, and both are exceptional. For our most recent pup,Merlin, we had Hailey as our trainer. She truly understood how worried I have been about not only the safety of our puppy but the safety of my elder mother who is home with him the most. She has made sure that my mom is comfortable using the different training techniques and even has helped us figure out a way for my mom to take merlin on walks while using her walker. Hailey has been a delight to work with. These trainers are amazing, and you are in good hands with them.

Chuva came home at 12 weeks and we muddled through some initial training attempts. Things weren't going that well and she knew that she ran the house. So we needed some help. Chuva is now 9 months old and we started working with Hailey a couple months ago. Chuva is a much more confident and well-behaved puppy now. The credit goes to Hailey for showing us how to help Chuva learn to pay attention, listen and settle. Hailey was kind and supported us while we learned and showed us great ways to interact with Chuva. Our puppy went from being an ok puppy to being a great, more well-behaved one over the course of about 7 weeks. Today we went out in the world and Chuva did amazing. We will keep working with her using the skills that Hailey taught us. I can't recommend Dog Training Elite and Hailey enough.

We didn’t know what to expect when we started this process but we are so happy that we did it.
I highly recommend Dog Training Elite. We had the pleasure of working with Steve Dennison. He was absolutely fantastic. Always on time. Great communication. Really knows so much about how to train your fur baby. He shows a lot of compassion even when my dog wasn’t happy to see him.
Our dog was an 8 year old Pit Terrier. My family was skeptical about her ability to change her behaviors at such a late stage in her life. Steve told us that she just wanted a job to do. She took to the training so well. She sits, place, heel, comes on command, and knows how to leave it. I can walk her on leash without her pulling. The last session was done at Home Depot. We were able to get her to sit and stay put while I walked up and down the aisle until I told her to come. My goal was for her to be able to coexist with my two small 5 lb. Yorkshire terriers. The goal was achieved and then some.
Such a great sense of accomplishment. Marley is a very happy dog and so is her Mom and Aunt! Thank you Steve for everything!

I contacted Dog training Elite to training my four year old maltipoo to be therapy and service dog after many people told me Brady would be joy to others. We started working with Hailey and she guided myself to give me the proper tools so Brady can volunteer at medical, school, nursing homes and wherever someone might need some extra love. Even when Brady was being a bit stubborn Hailey never allowed me to give up and was so calm and loving. Words can’t express how highly I would recommend Hailey. Brady is always excited to see Hailey.. If your dog needs any training I highly recommend.

My 3 year old pup Zeus and I have been doing service dog training with Hailey for the past couple months. I could not be more happy with his progress! In around 10 weeks, he has gone from not really healing consistently — to today, when we went to DTW and practiced going through airport TSA. He healed, sat, and laid down on command, all the way through the airport, with flying colors.
Hailey has made both Zeus and I feel more confident about taking the lessons we have learned and applying them in public settings. We’ve even had the opportunity to be around a couple other dogs from Dog Training Elite — including a second trainer (Steve?) bringing a dog to meet us at a store, so we could practice passing another dog in crowded store aisles. And they have group classes on the weekends, which we just haven’t been able to attend yet due to this crazy cold winter. Anyway, I rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with this company, and highly recommend Dog Training Elite! I have nothing but praise for the work Hailey has already done. Zeus adores her and is actively excited for our training sessions, and I feel confident that he will continue doing a great job moving forward, thanks to all the skills he has learned.

We could not be any happier making the decision to use Dog Training Elite to help train our dog, Pistachio! Steven is an amazing trainer and gave us very useful insight and tips on how to reinforce the training outside of the sessions. Even when our dog was challenged in the training sessions, Steven led the training in a way where our dog was still having fun and learning new things.
We have noticed such a difference from when we began the training. Our walks and trips around town have become so much more enjoyable as the training has progressed. We look forward to working with Steven and the rest of the DTE staff in the future!

I have a super energetic pup with an amazing personality and full of love. The way she makes people smile made me want to train her to be a therapy dog. My five year old rescue pup, Whiskey, just completed training with Hailey Roovers. He was a reactive barker, he jumped on everyone that came in the house and was nervous around other dogs. We started with Dog Training Elite of Southeast Michigan a few weeks after we brought Bailey home. We had not had a puppy in almost 16 years, and forgot how overwhelming & joyful it could be at the same time. Dachshunds are stubborn and not easy to train!
We started working with Hailey right away as we knew we wanted to obtain a service dog certification and eventually volunteer at the children’s hospital and hospice floor of our local medical facilities. We are very happy with the results of the basic commands and how well behaved our pup is around other dogs, people of all ages & in various environments. We also love that we can continue to attend group training classes for reinforcement! The mental stimulation proved to be far more beneficial for the puppy energy than any amount of walks we could get her to go on:)
Our Doxie is stubborn, but we continue to reinforce the fundamentals - it is a commitment from the owner if you want to maximize what is taught during the 1x1s and group classes, but greatly pays off.
Hailey was easy to work with, accommodated our crazy schedule, and truly loves animals & treated Bailey like she was her own. Highly recommend!

We have had THE best experience with this company and their trainers. Ryann has been exceptional to work with. Every tip and trick she has given us has changed how our puppy Chase has been for us. We contacted dog training elite prior to picking up our Murphy. They helped guide us with the initial pup search (we were seeking to get a PSD service dog). My family & I adopted a 7-week-old, purebred, German Shepherd in Jan. As she got a bit older, we discovered that we were WAY over our heads when it came to her training. Of course, we went online searching for trainers & we finally found DOG TRAINING ELITE which was the BEST discovery EVER!!! Of course, we read the reviews & we found HAILEY...one of the BEST trainers that we could EVER ask for!!! Her reviews are A+, and we stand behind those reviews!!! She's KIND, PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING, SO INFORMATIVE & IS GREAT w/MAZIE, and w/us too!!! The things she teaches us is so EXTREMELY helpful when we're training on our own! Just finished a 10-week training class with Hailey from DTE, and it was a great experience. Hailey was wonderful to work with; she was flexible and accommodating and did a fabulous job with our 4 year old mix Tater. She worked with us to customize the curriculum, increasing the time we spent on our areas of concern (behavior basics and leash walking) instead of covering some advanced topics we didn't need or want (e.g., going into public spaces). Sessions were fun and engaging; Hailey worked directly with Tater on each skill to get her started, but also taught me how to continue the process between and beyond class. We also had a few sessions with both Hailey and Austin, along with Austin's dog Sunny, to work on socialization.
Tater had been quite a handful since we got her... constantly barking and agitated when outside, overly excited and hard to control with visitors, unable to walk on a leash, zero recognition of any commands, etc. We honestly thought that perhaps there was something wrong with her; that she was untrainable. Nope. She responded immediately to the training, and in fact seems quite smart (though stubborn). She now understands (and follows) necessary commands, walks very well on a leash (and even without a leash), remains quiet in the yard (even when bunnies are present, or the neighbor's dog is yapping), and behaves with visitors. We're looking forward to maintaining and even advancing her behavior at the weekly group sessions.
If you are looking for a high quality training program for your dog and have the time and the means, I highly recommend Dog Training Elite and both Hailey and Austin as an excellent choice.

Hailey has been fantastic with Moose! He has learned so much in just a few short weeks. My office is dog friendly but as a large 9 month old puppy he was loud and wanted constant attention and play. In just 4 sessions I was able to bring a well mannered dog into the office with me! He gets to play with his dog friends now at work and daycare and I get to take my smart pup for walks where he’s not pulling me along. And Moose loves to see Hailey each week. He gets so excited to see her. We taught him to swim yesterday! I cannot tell you how happy I am with Hailey and Dog Training Elite!

We loved how she came to our home to see what day to day expectations were. Athena is much more well behaved and has quickly learned her boundaries outside as well. We had a great experience with Dog Training Elite! Our dog Beau started out at 7 months old and responded very quickly to the obedience training. Hailey Roovers! She did a great job winning Beau over! Her knowledge and patience with him and us was a key to the successful training. I just took him to the groomer for the first time and they could not believe how well he did!

Hailey has been working with us and our puppy Maple for 7 lessons. She is so patient and knowledgeable. We are making amazing progress. We have been to other places for training in the past with other dogs but the advantages of in home training are so much better. Hailey is always on time and asks if there is anything specific we want to work on as well as scheduled lesson. Austin came out for the initial assessment and explained the program thoroughly. It is everything he said it would be.

We could not have been happier with the training that we got from Dog Training Elite. Austin and Hailey both did an excellent job and worked hand in hand with us through the training. We were able to incorporate our kids and have them involved in the process, with an 85 pound German Shepard we felt like this was important for our dog to listen to the kids as well. The knowledge that DTE was able to give us has allowed us to continue training on our own and have the confidence to take him out in public without concern. I would highly recommend their service, definitely worth the investment. Thanks Austin and Hailey!

Worth every penny! We are first time dog owners and have found this training SO helpful. It has given us the tools to feel like we understand our dog’s behavior and have control over it too. This training has given our family a lot of confidence with our new pet and has made dog ownership more enjoyable as we’ve navigated the behavior of a rescue puppy. Hailey and Austin are awesome! Hailey is communicative, kind and flexible. She put me at ease whenever we had trainings because of her knowledge, patience and kindness. She helped get our whole family involved in the trainings, including our kids. She’s easy to talk with and I looked forward to our trainings each time. She’s super encouraging and always available if something comes up between training sessions. You can tell she really loves dogs! Austin and Haley have not only been a pleasure to work with—they have helped us transform our dog into a sociable, well-behaved companion. He was already sweet, but was overly protective, barking way too much, pulling on his leash, lunging at strangers. Now we can take him anywhere. Friends and family encourage us to bring him along! We can walk quietly past bikers, strollers, joggers, other dogs. He’s friendly with other dogs and people. Good thing, since he has now been certified as a therapy dog! He’s clearly happier too and more confident. He also LOVES Austin and Haley and is always so happy to see them even though they put him through his paces! I highly recommend Dog Training Elite.

I recommend dog training elite to everyone who needs help with their dog or is interested in having a service dog. From the very beginning they have been wonderful and supportive of my journey to have a trained service dog for myself. They even helped me pick out the perfect puppy and they came out to the dog breeder’s house with me to interview the dogs and help me find the right dog. They have been supportive for every step throughout my dog’s early puppy months and beyond. My dog has passed obedience training and now we are onto the service dog portion. Raising my own service dog has been very therapeutic for me and I feel confident that with my dog at my side I can now get out in the world again. None of this would have been possible without the team at dog training elite. Ryen and Austin are the best. Thank you for everything you have done for me and for my dog Billy.

DTE has provided excellent training for both my dog Louie and me! From the initial in-home assessment throughout the entire training program Austen has been consistent in approach and extraordinarily effective with my dog. I have nothing but great things to say about DTE. Austin and his team were professional and knowledgeable. They were patient with the questions I had and were thorough with responses. Hailey was also great when she ran DTE's group classes on Saturdays. She displayed knowledge and confidence in her ability to communicate and educate the dog owners.

Ryan and Austin both were amazing from start to finish. I started with puppy classes and just finished our 1-on-1’s from advanced obedience. My Doberman responded amazingly and they always were there to answer my many (many lol) questions. I highly suggest starting them with puppy classes because it really built the foundation for the obedience classes to move much smoother.

We have 2 Newfoundlands weighing in at 120 pounds each, a six year old and an 18 month pup. The pup is very high energy and was very aggressively friendly towards other dogs and people and has pulled my wife and I down several times resulting in broken bones. In just 6 weeks, the aggressiveness and energy are under control and we can walk both dogs together safely. We even walked through Home Depot without incident. I never thought that would be possible. I can't say enough good things about Austin and his team. Friendly, professional, understanding, flexible, courteous...and unbelievable results. All I can really say is thank you so much!!

My family and I wanted to thank Austin for an amazing dog training experience. This was our first dog and we got him as a newborn, completely untrained. Austin was soooo very knowledgeable about every aspect of our puppy. On our first session, he predicted all the outcomes and reactions from our puppy before they happened, and he was 100% spot on. Austin had a very gentle way with our puppy and was able to command respect with a soft and loving touch.
Austin gave us all the tools we need to continue training our furbaby at our own pace. We use and depend on his techniques everyday. We are so blessed that we found him.

Austin Goble
Owner / Lead Trainer
My name is Austin Goble. My love for dogs began at a very early age while duck hunting alongside some amazing retrievers. After college, I got a chocolate lab named Bayou, and my love for working with and training dogs began. My wife is a school social worker, and we have seen firsthand the incredible benefits of service and therapy dogs, and I desire to provide that for others. I love hiking, camping, fishing, and exploring the outdoors (with my dog at my side).

Hi, my name is Kristen Goble and I have worked as a school social worker for the last 9 years with children and adolescents with disabilities and social, emotional and behavioral challenges. I am also a dog lover and have owned dogs my whole life! Working in the schools, I have been able to witness the benefits of therapy dogs and the way they help students to co-regulate through a calming and trusting bond! My husband and I started this business out of a mutual passion for dogs, helping people, and our community. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, at the lake, and up north with our kids and dogs.

My name is Ryann Reese. I have always loved and enjoyed working with dogs. I started in high school working in a kennel at a Veterinary hospital. From there I continued to work throughout college in kennels, daycare and boarding facilities. I was able to see firsthand how dogs communicate with each other and with people, and my interest for dog behavior began. In May of 2023 I graduated college with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science.

My name is Hailey Roovers. I have been an animal lover my whole life and at a young age got my first dog, a Golden Retriever named Lexie. I graduated college from the University of Dayton, and soon after began pursuing a career that allowed me to work with animals. Being around dogs my entire life, I saw how much happiness and joy they bring to people's lives, and I knew I wanted to play a part in that process. My favorite thing to do is bring my dog to Northern Michigan to walk the beaches and swim in the lakes!

My name is Steven Dennison. I’ve always been a dog person and was always the friend of the group that the dogs would gravitate to. I was a college baseball coach for 10 years prior to being a dog trainer. I took the joy of teaching new skills as a coach and apply it every day in sessions with my clients. I have an Australian Shepherd named Goose who is a goofball but so much fun to work with.
