Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland has been the best training experience we’ve ever had — by far. From the very beginning, the owners and trainers made us feel supported, not sold to. Our first phone call and the in-person evaluation were incredibly informative and genuinely stress-free. It did not feel like a pressure sale at all. They took time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions, and then gave us the space to think through what made the most sense for our family and our dogs. We never felt rushed — just encouraged. We have two Field Golden puppies: one is 11 months old, and the other is about 7 months old. Training two young dogs at once can feel overwhelming, but the team has been so patient, loving, and flexible with both of them. They’ve adapted the training to each pup’s age, personality, and learning style, and they’ve also been incredibly accommodating to our needs and schedules. Tammy, Christy, Sean, and Richard are all fantastic. They always take their time with us, make sure we understand each step, and are consistently available and understanding. You can tell they take real pride in the outcome of the training and truly care about the dogs and the families they work with. That’s something we haven’t experienced with other companies we’ve tried in the past, where we felt rushed or like it was one-size-fits-all. We aren’t even finished with training yet, and we’re already noticing huge improvements in both of our pups. Richard, especially, has a special bond with our dogs, and it’s been amazing to see how much they trust and respond to him. Working with different trainers has also been essential; each person brings their own style and approach, and that variety has helped us push through hurdles and keep making progress. We’re truly grateful we chose Dog Training Elite of Central Maryland. If you want training that’s effective, supportive, and built around your dogs, this is absolutely the team to go with. I feel truly happy to have found Elite. We started training our dobbie at 10 weeks and it was the best decision we made as a family. From our consult meeting we knew we found the perfect place. We opted in for the platinum so we have unlimited group sessions. We worked with richard who is so knowledgeable and super easy going. The scheduling process was also very easy and worked well with our schedules. Tammy and Christy were always there to help us with any questions. I can’t say enough about the training my dog received here. I have a young lab who was a challenge to say the least but since starting the training, we have seen massive improvement. Walks used to be a never ending tug of war match that neither me or my dog enjoyed. Now they are relaxing and enjoyable for us both. His manners in the house and around other people has greatly improved. I Richard, the trainer was patient and explained everything very easily and was always happy to help with questions or reviews with things we learned. A wonderful experience all around.

My experience with Dog Training Elite has surpassed my expectations! Richard has been an incredible trainer. He takes the time to explain the what, the how, and the why when training our dog Louie. He gives us plenty of feedback and helps us set goals as we progress. We’ve seen major changes in Louie since we began training almost two months ago. The company as a whole is well run and professional.

I would highly recommend to others looking to train their dog! They are professional, knowledgeable and customize the training based on your situation and what you are looking to accomplish. We have a 7 year old Pomeranian who never had formal training and we were looking for some more control/training given a few issues we were experiencing. We were a bit nervous about the e collar given his size (7lbs) but they took the time to fully go over the technology, safety and benefits. This team is very thorough and you can tell they truly care about your pet safety while working through the training. We worked with both Christy and Richard. They are both fantastic. Our Pom is incredibly stubborn and while some things he picked up quickly others he was very resistant. Both Christy and Richard have techniques and work arounds for your specific pet if they are resistant to certain training methods (especially for older dogs). Both my wife and I are amazed at how much our Pom has learned and is following from the training which has given us better control over our Pom. If you are looking for solid trainer for your pet, a reputable brand and top notch customer service I would highly recommend hiring for your dog training needs.

The training for my dog Jimmy has been amazing. He has come so far with the training from Christy & Richard. They have been clear in their instructions, and they have been positive and patient with Jimmy & me.

We had an amazing experience with Dog Training Elite, and I can't say enough good things about our trainer, Richard. He was always punctual, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. From day one, he built a great rapport with our dog, Mugsy, and the results speak for themselves. Mugsy has made tremendous progress in her obedience, and we feel much more confident as dog owners thanks to Richard’s guidance and training methods. He took the time to explain the "why" behind each technique and customized the sessions to suit Mugsy’s temperament and needs. The team at Dog Training Elite is amazing! We started puppy training at week 9, and at 9 months, the results for me and my English lab are above expectation. While there is structure to the method, Christy and Richard customize how best to train for results - not in the least cookie cutter! They are experts in knowing your dog and understanding your goals. In fact, they are so good, they correctly and gently dialed me back because I was over training. The group sessions are very useful. And Tammy makes sure you stay on schedule and makes scheduling sessions easy. I recommend the max package, which comes with unlimited group sessions for continued training and challenges. I’ve referred them twice already. If you want a well trained family pet, look nowhere else. Dog Training Elite is the shop to use.

I have been working with Christy for a few weeks now, and am so incredibly delighted and impressed with the training program. My dog is eleven years old and we are brushing up on some skills because she is a classically stubborn cairn terrier – but even after just our first session she was already a different dog. Working with my dog has gone from occasionally frustrating to consistently delightful, and the training has made it feel like we are finally speaking the same language. Christy is very patient and thorough and clearly has a great love for dogs; I have a lot of trust in her work and advice. As the "Mom" of a 70lb Malinois who was a wild child, I knew I needed help. From the first lesson, Christy and Sean gave me the tools I needed to feel more in control and after several lessons adding tools to my toolbox my wild child is on his way to being a super well mannered dog who is obedient and a joy to walk! I can't thank Christy and Sean enough.

I have so much respect and gratitude for Christy. I literally carry her business cards on my person so I can recommend folks to her. (Not sponsored!) I find Christy and her enterprise to be highly professional. + Scheduling is easy and they send great reminders. Shout out Tammy! Christy is always on time and will send you five texts if she thinks she is going to be 2-3 minutes late. + She is a great listener and never rushes me. I feel like she takes all my concerns seriously and follows up about them, whether it be my dog suddenly having a weird lump, regressing on crate training, or discovering the wonders of counter surfing. + Christy is clearly a subject matter expert and has a resource for everything. She has this really fantastic book with logs so you can basically habit track your critter. She is also very knowledgeable about laws/the rights of service animals. + Christy always comes ready. She is going to show up in her Dog Training Elite branded polo, her branded jacket on top if it's chilly, and pull her branded backpack out of her wrapped car. The backpack is the dog version of the Mary Poppins bag and seems to have a never-ending supply of leashes, poop bags, treats, collars, and pamphlets. The logistics of her empire are also just good. + She comes to your house and meets you in places you already go. It's so convenient and really makes it possible to do while WFH. It also preps your dog for the environments they will actually be in when you need them to perform their tasks. + She has a million tiers of plans and can set up a payment plan to make it work with what you need/can afford. I find her plans to be highly flexible and her rates to be very competitive. + She is highly accessible and invested. I really do feel like she cares about my dog and me, and she shows me that by checking up on us regularly and being available by text. I often refer to her as our dog doula.

We had a great experience with Christy and her team! They got our service dog trained and certified within our deadline and exceeded our expectations! We tried two other training companies prior and neither came even close to Dog Training Elite!

Sheru learnt a lot while in training. For myself being first time dog owner it meant a lot. Lots of very practical tips so that your puppy behaves the way you expect. I was very happy with conversations and timely responses. The meeting were scheduled taking into consideration of our other commitments. The staff is very trained and very professional. We had been looking for dog training for our headstrong dog Rudder when we met Christy at a boat show. From the moment we began talking we felt safe and heard with our goals for our boy. We are boaters and were concerned about his safety on the boat as well as day to day manners that needed some sharpening. After working with other trainers prior we hesitated to hire another trainer for fear of wasting money or being unsuccessful. We spoke to Christy and her team a few times throughout the day and had every one of our questions answered with patience and respect. We continued to research and think about starting the process for a few weeks before scheduling the evaluation and as soon as she met Rudder we were confident in her abilities and impressed with how she interacted with him. We immediately signed up with the goal of him being well mannered enough to attend a large Christmas party. The only thing we would have changed was starting sooner. After one session we immediately saw improvements and by Christmas he was so well mannered he was the talk of the party. Everyone was impressed and he has only improved more since then. I went from being a skeptic of hiring another trainer to singing the praises of Christy, Richard, and Tammy. They work seamlessly as a team to ensure success and understanding every step of the way. Winston our puppy was crazy until we met Chrissy and Richard! The training was amazing from my first session! Chrissy answers questions 24/7 and Richard was awesome with me during my home sessions. Richard made sure I was confident with the commands before he left! Thanks Elite!

Christy was awesome with our 2 yr old lab, Tucker. She was very patient with him and we saw great results from her work. They regularly followed up to see how he was doing with his homework and to see if we had any questions or problems. If he was slow to grasp a lesson , they were more than willing to go over the lesson again at the next session. Would highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend Dog Training Elite. My trainer, Christy, was fantastic! I had rescued a pitbull mix (Blue). A few days later, I reached out to Christy about in-home training. Christy came to my home to do an evaluation. I really liked how comfortable and confident she was when handling Blue. I signed up for their in-home training program so that we would be in our normal environment (with distractions) during the training. The best part of the training was that Christy would work with Blue first until he understood the command. Once he knew the command, Christy would than train me on how to use the command with Blue. It allowed me to watch and ask questions before trying the command myself. In addition, I felt that Christy went above and beyond what other trainers would do. I had a lot of dog related questions beyond our immediate training session. Christy patiently answered my questions and provided her insights. Even when I texted her asking for additional help with Blue, Christy made time to help me with my request. Blue is a better dog because of the training. Blue doesn't jump on people anymore, I know how to handle him when he sees rabbits & squirrels, and he knows his commands very well. Blue and I have a better relationship because of the training. Very grateful for Christy and her Team.

What a great experience we had with Dog Training Elite of CM! They took the time to understand our pooch and worked with us to help her overcome her impulsiveness and reactivity. We never dreamed in a million years that we would be able to take a walk around buses, trucks, bikes, scooter and runners let alone other dogs. We can't recommend them enough and would definitely use them again if the need ever arises.
