Learn MoreDog Training Elite Founder John Mestas has been a dog lover for as long as he can remember! From an early age, John knew that he wanted to pursue a career that allowed him to interact with dogs and help them live their best lives. With over 40 years of experience as a professional dog trainer and Competitive Training Director, John and his team of experts were able to develop a successful, proven dog training method that incorporates a balance of positive reinforcement tactics with gentle redirection to teach dogs- and their owners- how to effectively communicate with one another.
Dog Training Elite offers convenient private and small group classes to our clients in the comfort of their homes and local parks, in communities across America. In addition to our original obedience training and behavioral modification services, we now offer specialized services such as Therapy Dog, Service Dog, and Personal Protection Training. As the needs and demands of our clients change, we continue to add new, innovative services and approaches. Thanks to the unique, successful in-home training model perfected by John and his team, what began as a small movement among dog training companies has grown exponentially.

"I own a very nervous protective adopted dog. We had been through several group training classes, and individual personal trainers before finding Dog Training Elite. Since we adopted our dog after she was a couple years old, she was set in her ways. However, Dog Training Elite has helped obtain control of our dog.
The trainers are friendly, and great to work with. After having some individual dog training classes at our home, we started attending group training classes. This made me nervous, because our dog was dog-aggressive. We've since worked through these issues, and I feel so much better about being able to take my dog with me when we go places."
