Ed and his wife Betsy share a vison for Dog Training Elite in Southern Louisiana, which is to help improve the relationships between dogs and their humans through the highest quality training, including service and therapy dogs for veterans and people in need. After careers in both the U.S. Military and the corporate world, Betsy and Ed chose to follow their passion to work with dogs and settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana because of the friendly people, the culture, the great food, and the common love for dogs and the sportsman lifestyle.
Ed served as a U.S. Army officer and Apache Helicopter pilot for 10 years. Following his service, he worked as both a Sales and Business Development Manager and Aviation Safety Advisor in the Oil and Gas industry. Much of his life has been spent living and working overseas in a variety of locations including Africa, Asia, and South America. Ed is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Dogs have been an important part of his family since childhood.
Betsy served as a U.S. Air Force officer and law enforcement agent with a specific focus on counter-terrorism operations for approximately 11 years, which included deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Following her service, she worked as an Executive with ExxonMobil Corporation for 13 years. She lived and worked in several overseas locations, including Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Betsy grew up in the Philadelphia area riding horses and competing in equestrian events, always with a Labrador Retriever by her side.
Betsy and Ed are excited about this new adventure and are eager to be of service to you and your dog.
